    More Horsepower And Torque. Granatelli Motor Sports Intake Plenum Spacer is a simple yet, effective bolt-on to improve the horsepower and torque of your 2011-2014 V6 Mustang. This GMS Intake Manifold Spacer increases the plenum volume by 0.400" which in turn helps improve the low to mid-range power of your Mustang's 3.7L engine. After installation of this Plenum Spacer, dyno-proven power gains of up to 7 horsepower and 5 ft/lbs of Torque have been seen at the rear wheels.

    Reduces Heat. Not only does a Granatelli Motor Sports Intake Spacer increase plenum volume, but it also helps to reduce heat transference between the upper and lower intake manifolds by acting like an insulator. This insulation helps to keep incoming air temperatures cooler to further increase power output.

    Phenolic Construction. Manufactured from a 0.400" (2/5") thick phenolic fiber material, Granatelli Motor Sports CNC machines their Intake Plenum Spacer to exact specifications. This GMS Plenum Spacer includes the necessary gasket and reuses your factory hardware for installation.

    No Tune Required. Granatelli Motor Sports engineered their Intake Plenum Spacer to improve the power and performance of your 3.7L V6 Mustang without the need of reprograming the factory computer (ECU) for operation. However, they do recommend the use of a Handheld Tuner to reach even larger power gains.

    In theory has anyone yet tried to bolt this up to an s550 even if its for the 11-14 if the bolt pattern is the same wouldnt it work?

    • This Granatelli Motor Sports Intake Manifold Plenum Spacer is specifically designed for use on the 2011 to 2014 Mustangs equipped with the 3.7L Ti-VCT V6 engine. We have not tested it on the S550.

    • At the current time, we do not have any intake plenum spacers for the V6 S550 Mustangs.

    What size bolts would I need to get that are longer? I would like to get the hardware before I order this

    • The size of the bolts will be exactly the same as your stock bolts, but longer. You should be able to find these at most local hardware stores. Some customer were able to reuse their stock bolts while others sourced hardware elsewhere.

    I just purchased that and found out the Stock plenum bolts are too short for proper installation. Anybody ran into that and how did you fix it? What bolts can be used to replace the stock bolts that are too short?

    • You should be able to get identical bolts that will be longer at a local hardware store or auto parts store. It looks like we have had some customers who were able to make this part work with their stock hardware and a couple that have had to source the hardware elsewhere.

      Plenum spacer review

      Not a difficult installation, about 2 hours, since a strut tower brace had to be removed. Some noticeable acceleration. Bolts don't need to be replaced, they are long enough. Good grip strength or another person can help hold it in place.

      plenum spacer

      I did the plenum spacer at the same time as changing to iridium plugs and high output coil packs since you have to take the plenum off for plugs anyway. Install is straight forward, takes the longest to find all the hoses and connectors to remove, but not bad. I've read lots of reviews stating the OEM bolts aren't long enough, I didn't run into that. They are short and will only hold by 4-5 threads, but that's enough. Just push down and get one started, it will pull the plenum down so the others can start. I rated 4 of 5 because the ports on the spacer are a tad smaller than the plenum ports, I could have port matched, and probably should have, but I didn't alot enough time for all of that. Gave me a chance to clean out all the oily gunk out of my plenum too. I only have 45k miles and a lot of sludge in the ports, time to get an oil separator! I also think GMS could have made the bolt holes a little smaller, there's a bit of play concerning me if it ended up being aligned perfectly, especially since the ports are smaller. It's hard to tell if the spacer alone made the difference I feel, but the 3 combined helped with gas mileage and power band. I have 3.73 gears and 255 tires all 4 corners, so it was nice to get back into the mid 20's for gas mileage.

      Not Bad..

      Install was fairly easy. i was able to put all the original bolts back inside, it was a little difficult but its not impossible like some people have been saying. as far as performance goes i have felt a little bit more torque. but very minimal. i would say buy this product if it was a little cheaper however i am satisfied with it.

      Nice little upgrade

      I know there are a few reviews about the factory bolts not being long enough, but for me they were. You just have to start at one end to draw the plenum down...then all the bolts will catch. Do NOT over-tighten! As soon as I started the car after install (along with GMS Coils) I noticed to be a lot smoother idle and much quicker throttle response. I would say it probably added about 5hp. Nice little upgrade I would recommend...

      P.O.S.

      Bought this spacer and waited 3 weeks bc of being backordered. Tried installing this today and the MANUFACTURER BOLTS DO NOT FIT!. The bolts are not long enough when adding the spacer. They did not provide any information stating that you needed longer bolts and came with no instructions. WASTE OF MONEY. Spend your 100 dollars on premium gas you'll get better performance. Disappointed and upsetting..

      Complete waste of time.

      This does not fit as the stock bolts are too short. No Bolts provided. I'm surprised and disappointed, most manufacturers provides the hardware when longer bolts are needed (For example: BBK, Airaid, etc.). It could, at the very least, have been mentioned and give some information where to find longer bolts. The install process is really easy, but if you don't have the right information and hardware, it's useless. I really don't want to go through the return process if that can be addressed, outcome will drive the ongoing relationship with AM.

      Did not fit !!!

      You need to buy new bolts for it because it is too short and they don't say that in the requirements! and there is no installation paper ! So you don't know what to do or if you do it right!!! ! ! !

      Did not fit

      Would not fit. With the spacer on, the bolts from the intake manifold were too short to bolt back on. AM and GMS both did not have any fixes. Also there are no installation instructions included, and none can be found on the GMS and AM websites.

      Smoother

      After installing noticed a bit more pull in the low and mid range RPMs without tune! Much smoother acceleration overall. Impressed what this little spacer did!

      Bolt on power!

      I recently bought this to go with a set of ported intake manifolds, the product is just as described and the specs are accurate. I've installed it and noticed a great increase of power through out the entire rpm range.
