      Description

More Horsepower and Torque. The Street Fighter Series 24,000 Volt Coils provide 4,000 more volts then stock OEM factory coils to help produce more power from your modern modular motor. They are a perfect replacement upgrade for stock engines or Mustangs with minor performance upgrades.

Better Fuel Economy. A hotter spark burns fuel more completely, releasing all its energy, translating into better fuel economy and more power.

Complete Kit. This complete kit includes all hardware necessary for installation, including the (8) coil packs, connector cables and stainless snap lock plug connectors.

Application. These Granatelli Motor Sports 3-valve Street Fighter Coil Packs are designed for use on the 2005 to Mid 2008 GT and Bullitt Mustangs equipped with "High Thread" 16mm spark plugs. Does not fit 3V heads with 12mm thread pattern spark plugs.

Identifying Your Coils. Engines with late style 12MM spark plugs can be identified by coil engineering number 8L3E printed on the coils. Engines with early style 16mm "High Thread" design spark plugs can be identified by coil engineering number 3L3E.

Easy install; didn't feel a difference in power or response. Chasing an engine light and this did not eliminate the issue. Good upgrade from original for around $225 that bolted right on with the right fit.

        FIRE POWER!

I have only put 350 miles on since rebuild, but seem these are great coils. Car fires right up and no issues.

1 2005 GT - Santiago Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

        Do Not Buy

I drive a 2005 mustang that is a weekend driver only, about 5k miles a year. Within 1 year of installing 2 of the coils had already died out. For a car that is not driven that often that is a bit ridiculous. Drove on the stock coils for 100k and never had one go out. Never again will I buy these

1 2006 GT - Stangger Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

Failed coil in less than 45 days

Everything worked great for a little bit. Questionable reliability here. After a start one morning noticed engine was idling very roughly. Sure enough after a few minutes of driving check engine light comes on "flashing". Pull out code scanner and get a code P0301 cylinder 1 misfire. Swapped coils between 1 and 6, reset ECM. Sure enough after driving misfire detected on cylinder 6. Swapped in an OEM coil I had saved car runs fine. I cannot recommend this product based on my experience and failure. Although they are significantly cheaper than OEM coils. I think there is a reason as to why. Previous coils worked fine for 120k miles.

These are a great and easy upgrade over OEM!

The GMS 3v Street Fighter Coil pack is a great upgrade over the stock coil packs. I have noticed the car runs a lot "cleaner" and has some extra get up and go. Installation was a breeze and only took about 20 minutes.

        Good product

I has stock plugs on my mustang before. I tried this product and I was very impressed with the power gain and performance. I just wonder how long before I will have to change them again.

Does the hotter coil voltage equate to shorter plug life?

      • Hi, This GMS 3V Street Fighter Coil Pack will do the opposite of shorten the life of your plugs since there will be a increase the amount of voltage that is transferred to your spark plugs which will create a better burn and will burn off some of the excess fuel left in the cylinder.

I would like to use this coil pack with Autolite HT1 sparkplugs, will they be compatible?

      • the GMS 3V Street Fighter Coil Pack (05-Mid 08 GT) will work with any 16mm spark plug.

Will these cause an appreciable increase in power/mileage without a tuner? I'm looking to start out with upgrades that help my power *and* gas mileage, but I don't have enough money to shell out for a tuner and a CAI. Would this be a good place to start?

      • Definitely especially if your car is around or over 100,000 miles as this would be part of routine maintenance of the car at that point.
