Description
Hydraulic Release Bearing Kit. The Hays Hydraulic Release Bearing Kit is engineered to upgrade or convert manual transmission clutch systems to hydraulic actuation. It reduces pedal effort while enhancing clutch engagement and disengagement for 2005-2017 Mustang GT and 2007-2014 GT500 models. This kit offers full adjustability to ensure an optimal setup with both single and dual disc clutch configurations.
Construction and Appearance. Featuring a floating bearing design, the kit incorporates large O-rings and PTFE backup rings in critical grooves to prevent fluid leakage and extend service life. The sealed bearing snaps into place, and a snap ring prevents over-travel on the piston. Included are all necessary hardware components, such as mounting parts, adjustment shims, and high-quality -3AN feed and bleed lines.
Installation. Installation is straightforward and requires no drilling, designed to fit existing manual transmissions. This kit serves as a retrofit solution providing a simple hydraulic clutch conversion that reduces pedal effort while ensuring reliable performance.
