Description
Improved Performance for the Track. Give your Mustang GT the performance it needs come race day when you install the Hooker Blackheart 1-7/8-Inch Shorty Headers; Raw Stainless Steel Finish. These headers employ free-flowing plumbing that converges into mitered merge collectors designed to boost exhaust gas velocity. This factor helps maximize combustion cycles to give you improvements in power and torque – both of which can certainly help you come race day.
Increase the Fierceness. What’s the use of improved performance if your ride doesn’t sound the part? These shorty headers will also transform your exhaust sound from an already impressive growl into a fierce racing roar. This way, you announce your presence on the track every time you step on the accelerator.
Retains Factory Catalytic Converters. These shorty headers are designed to install right before your factory catalytic converters, enabling you to reap the emissions benefits on these components. These headers install in a way to maximize ground clearance so you don’t have to worry about them hitting the ground as you’re going over a hilly section of the track.
Heavy-Duty Build Quality. These shorty headers are manufactured from premium 1-7/8-inch wide tubular 304 stainless steel with 18-gauge thick walls for maximum strength. These tubes are then CNC mandrel-bent and expertly welded for added rigidity and outstanding exhaust gas flow. Likewise, their flanges are precision-machined to precise measurements from 3/8-inch thick stainless steel plates, providing a large sealing surface and superior durability. Finally, these headers come in a raw stainless steel finish that will take on a unique patina over time.
CARB-Certified Under CARB EO Number D-115-28. These Hooker Blackheart shorty headers are CARB-certified under EO number D-115-28, making them legal in all 50 states.
ECU Re-Tuning Not Required. These shorty headers are designed to provide your vehicle with gains in performance without the need for re-tuning your ECU. However, it is a good idea to re-tune your ECU in the future to maximize its performance potential.
