Cheap solution for a common problem

The product is similar to the OEM and does the job. But keep in mind that it is buried deep in the dashboard (access from the glove box) and would take a lot of gymnastic skills to fit it correctly.

      Clicking stopped

Got my AC back. It would only click when switch was toggled and only came out through the window vents. This part fixed it.

      Fits

What can I say, it does its job. A bit lighter than the original so I guess I go incrementally faster as a result? At least I stay cool (or warm, depending) doing it. (Had to put 80 characters in this box to have it quit nagging me for a review every time I logged in.)

      Installation Tip

This is what I did, and everything works like a champ! As several have mentioned, limited space makes this install difficult. You can only get one hand at a time behind the dash... I used my right-hand to position the new part under the dash (feeling the actuator arm with my fingers to make sure it was engaging vent-slot properly). Once it's in position (make sure the small vertical tab is inserted in the slot just to the right of the bottom mounting hole). There's an area you can poke a medium-length screwdriver through, using your left hand, to hold the actuator. As you press with the screwdriver, relese your right hand and get the bottom screw started. It's all down hill from there! Snug the two mounting screws and plug in the unit. Now calibrate the systen by pulling the two fuses (10 and 12) and wait a minute (key off); make sure HVAC unit is off and turn key on for 30 seconds. Turn key off again and put the fuses back in, turn key on again for another 30 seconds. Test unit. If all good, put everything back together and enjoy the silent operation of your Mustang's HVAC system.

      Second replacement

This is the second replacement I've had to do to the same actuator over 1 year time. Its cheap and only takes two screws to install so can't complain.

Fixed that annoying tick, tick, tick noise.

This part is hard to install, especially for big people. I recommend taking the passenger seat out to make it easier to reach behind the dash. Follow the instructions and you will be fine.

      Air out the defrost!

Living in AZ it's a must to have all your AC directly in your face. This is the correct door actuator that is needed to fix this issue.

      Couldn't get this to work

The actual product is a good sturdy replacement, but couldn't get it to go after installing. It's the center one and is very hard to get in the right place

      Works good as new!

The product does exactly what it is suppose to do! Not hard to install if you have 1 inch wide hands lol. It's not really technical but hard to get to. The part is good quality and works well once installed!

      Saved me $400

When my AC started to act up it wouldn't stop making a loud noise for the first 5 secs after starting up. So I went to see how much it would cost to get it fixed and they were all charging me ridiculous amounts of money just to see what was wrong with it. They also said the part cost 60 dollars. Turns out it was 20 on here and the noise stopped once I figured it out myself. It was the exact part and fit perfectly.

Fixed that sound, alot harder or maybe just me

The item fixed my problem, cool awesome yay but overall for me not being super car savvy took forever to install. Honestly though this will fix your problem if you do it right, just took me forever. Mine was the far left on the passenger side *hardest one i think but if i can do it you can too!

Very easy to install under ten minutes. Installing yourself will save you a ton of money rather than the vultures at ford!

      Fixed That Clicking Sound

For about a year I tolerated that clicking sound from underneath the dash. Couldn't take it anymore so I did my homework and ordered this part. Installation in theory is straightforward however getting to the two screws and getting it to fit in that arm slot was difficult to say the least given the amount of area you're given to work. If you have wide and/or fat hands and wrists you'll know what I'm talking about. Overall I'm happy with the part as the clicking noise has ceased but I just installed it today so I hope it lasts.

      Good fit with no issues.

Removed the globe-box. You have to work patiently with only the right hand and using an extra-small 1/4" ratchet cause there's not much room. You can't see what you're doing, but it can be done without any extensive disassembling. Make sure the peg from the motor assembly goes into the groove of the blend-door arm. Perfect fit with no problems. Checked operation a few times and reinstalled glove-box.

      Great

This product fixed the horrible clicking sound in the defroster. Took a long time to install as I have big hands but nonetheless I am very satisfied with the results!
