How to Install a CAI and BAMA X4 Tuner on your 2011-2014 V6 Mustang

1. Open hood and begin by disconnecting all the hoses connected to the original intake.

2. Remove the Mass Air Flow Sensor cord by pulling the red clip outwards.

3. Loosen the hose clamp at the throttle body. 

4. Remove the 10mm bolt in the airbox to remove as a unit. 

5. With the T-20 Torx Driver remove the stock Mass Air Flow sensor from your airbox.

1. This step is for AUTOMATIC CARS ONLY: Drill a .” hole in JLT tube 6” from the end of the tube, inline with PCV fitting; then inset Automatic grommet and fitting. 

2. Install heat shield by slipping one end under the air inlet duct lining it up with the stud on the fan and use the 6mm nut to secure. 

3. Secure the other end of the heat shield by using the stock airbox bolt to secure it to the car. 

4. Install the Mass Air Flow sensor into the JLT tube using the supplied screws. 

(Sensor will only enter one way) 

5. Place the silicone coupler securely on the throttle body with both clamps given, but do not tighten till the end. 

6. Pass the JLT tube through the hole in the heat shield and securely connect to silicone coupler and tighten clamps, but make sure to NOT over tighten. 

(You can also connect the hoses) 

7. Plug in the Mass Air Flow cord by inserting it in the JLT tube air sensor and then pushing the red clip inward. 

8. Insert air filter to the end of JLT tube and tighten clamp, but once again make sure to NOT over tighten. 

9. After JLT intake is installed, connect your SF4/X4 power flash tuner to the computer located under the steering wheel and follow the on display instructions to download your custom tune. 

10. Enjoy your increased horsepower and ride quality!
