Description
Power and Performance. The Kooks 3 in. Off-Road X-Pipe system benefits V8 engines, particularly those with overhead cams, because it connects individual pipes coming from the two separate exhaust banks. Exhaust pressure on both banks is equalized, boosting horsepower at all engine speeds.
More Power, Better Sound. Not only does the Kooks 3 in. Off-Road X-Pipe deliver more power, it is louder than a similar H-pipe system. It has also been said that the sound is smoother and has a slightly higher pitch.
No Cats Allowed. One of the main reasons why Kooks developed its 3 in. Off-Road X-Pipe was to get rid of the catalytic converter. This is not a problem off-road or on the track, but it does mean that your x-pipe exhaust is not street-legal in emission-restricted states.
Construction and Finish. The Kooks 3 in. Off-Road X-Pipe is constructed from durable and corrosion-resistant, aircraft-grade 304 stainless steel. The natural stainless steel finish gives your engine bay a suitably aggressive look, but does nothing for your exhaust pipe's heat resistance. For that, you need exhaust heat wrap, especially in high-demand situations.
Application. The Kooks 3 in. Off-Road X-Pipe is designed to fit all models of 2007 to 2014 Mustang GT500 with Long Tube Headers.
