THE BRACE IS OK BUT THE AMOUNT OF WORK IT TAKES TO INSTALL IS A BIG PAIN AND I DONT KNOW YET IF IT WILL DO ANY GOOD.

Will this fit a 2001 Bullitt? I've heard that this could fit over the 2001 Bullitt Intake, is there anyone that can confirm this?

Soccerluvr4

  • I have this on my 1999 with the Bullitt intake it fits nice.

I currently have the SR Performance strut tower brace for a 2002 GT with stock 2V motor. I'm considering to purchase a Kenne Bell supercharger to bolt onto the stock 2V motor. Assuming I bolt on a twin screw style supercharger, would this Maximum Motorsports strut tower brace fit properly? Also, any idea if the bolt pattern is the same as the SR Performance strut tower brace or would I need to re-drill new holes?

I have a 1999 Cobra SVT. I am confused between two. One is this one, another is Steeda Mustang 3 Point Strut Tower Brace. So which one should I buy and Why?

AJKL

  • We do not happen to offer a Steeda that would fit a 1999 Cobra. This one will work just fine with your application.

Does it fit with a JLT intake? I have a JLT Next Gen Ram intake and Oil separator installed. I'm wondering if the strut tower will fit? Any issues with the intake?

Christo17

  • No, the JLT intake will not fit this strut tower brace. The intake tube is too tall for the brace.

    Problems with strut tower brace

I must say that I was shocked that I would have to drill into my car body to put on a strut tower brace. And after getting it on I have found that I cant do much of anything under the hood without having to lift my car and remove the brace because it covers most of the key areas of my car. And I had one problem with one of the nut plates on the fire wall that would not accept a bolt. I just don't know if it is worth it or not! It does change the way my car handels around corners, but how many hours will I end up removing and replacing it for basic maintenance.

    mm strut tower brace /cobra

This is a decent product and since my car already has weld in sub frame connectors I didn't expect much of an improvement. There is one word of caution, this is designed ti fit the stock cobra cold air intake and you will have problems getting an aftermarket one to fit after you install this brace.

Fits if your setup is right, feels and looks great!

This strut tower brace rules. I had issues with installation because I had the FWD coolant crossover on my engine (it's taller) so I had to switch back to the RWD crossover. Little bit of an involved installation if you have coilovers, you'll have to take them out to bolt the brace in place. (04 GT + DOHC turbo)

    Didn’t fit

It was a great strut bar but it didn’t fit past my cold air, so I bought a new one and sent this back
