How to Install MBRP Black-Series Axle-Back Exhaust (2018 GT w/o Active Exhaust) on your Ford Mustang
Tools Required
- Sawzall w/ metal cutting blade
- 13mm Socket (Optional)
- 15mm Socket (Optional)
- 3/8 ratchet (Optional)
- 3/8 extension (Optional)
- 8mm Hex Key
- Ramps

Removal of Factory Exhaust:
1. Position Car on jack stands, ramps or lift. Steps 1 through 4 Optional, if not necessary jump to #5.
2. Using a 13 mm socket and 3/8 drive ratchet, remove the hanger bolts above the rear end.
3. Using a 13mm socket and 3/8 drive ratchet, remove exhaust clamps in front of the OEM resonator.
4. Remove entire OEM Cat back system as one.
5. Using a Sawzall, cut the factory mufflers off at the inlet elbow, circled in red.
6. Slide Factory muffler out from rear muffler hanger.
Installation:
1. Slip the MBRP exhaust into the muffler hanger at the rearmost part of the car, then slip pipe onto the factory exhaust.
2. Tighten proved clamps with 15mm Socket Rearmost exhaust Hanger.
3. Install tips on to axle back as preferenced. Tighten Bolts using your 8mm Hex key.
4. Put car back on the ground and ENJOY!
