Description
Reduce Heat For More Power. Improve the performance of your turbocharged EcoBoost Mustang by replacing your factory intercooler and piping with a kit from Mishimoto Performance. The Mishimoto Intercooler Kit is a direct fit replacement that is larger than stock with a 58% increase in core size, 25% increase in internal core volume and 165% increase in external fin surface area, all of which adds up to a 35°F reduction in Air Intake Temperatures (AIT). By lowering intake temperatures you eliminate the possibility of detonation to increase power and performance.
Superior Construction. Manufactured from 100% 6061 aluminum for it's ability to quickly dissipate unwanted heat ensuring lower intake temperatures, this Mishimoto Performance Intercooler features a bar and plate design with cast end tanks and an in-tank diverter to provide optimal flow. A Mishimoto Performance Intercooler not only improves your EcoBoost's performance, but it also improves your Mustang's under hood appearance with a silver baked on powder coat finish.
Intercooler Piping. The included Intercooler Piping is manufactured from mandrel-bent aluminum tubing (2.5-inch hot-side, 2.75-inch cold-side) to eliminate restrictive bends. The hot-side pipe features a CNC-machined By-pass Valve flange that allows for installation of a stock or stock-style BPV. The cold-side pipe is pre-marked for easy installation of a boost gauge or methanol injection. The Piping is completed ina black wrinkle powder coated finish for aggressive good looks.
