Keep It Cool. Keep your Coyote 5.0 Mustang's engine oil from overheating and breaking down with a Mishimoto Oil Cooler. By keeping your oil temperatures down, you'll ensure longer oil life and overall better lubrication for your engine's internals. The result? A better running Mustang.

Great for High Powered Ponies. If you're running forced induction or have a heavily modded 'Stang, your engine is probably running hot. Invest in a Mishimoto oil cooler to help your oil temps stay in check whether your Pony is stretching its legs on a hot day on the street or at the track.

Peace of Mind. When your oil temperature runs too hot, the pressure can drop to dangerous levels, causing oil starvation. This hazardous engine condition can even potentially cause engine seizure, costing you lots of money in repairs. By keeping your oil temps down with a Mishimoto oil cooler, you'll protect your investment and ensure your engine is performing at its peak.

Complete Kit. Mishimoto's oil cooler kit includes all the fittings, hardware, sandwich plate and stainless steel lines needed for a typical installation.

Application. The Mishimoto silver oil cooler is a direct fit kit for 2011-2014 GT Mustangs equipped with the Coyote 5.0L 4-valve V8 engine. Professional installation is recommended.

    Ask a Question

During an oil change, does the old oil stay in the cooler/lines or is there a drain? If not, is removing the lines an acceptable alternative?

    • No, the old oil would drain back the pan, there would still be some residual oil left in the cooler in which the lines would be able to be removed to fully drain this.

Will this fit if you have an intercooler?

    • This Mishimoto Direct Fit Oil Cooler is designed to be installed on factory applications, however, it can be installed with the use of an intercooler depending its size and placement.

Do the instructions state how much additional oil you need to add?

    • Yes, this Mishimoto Direct Fit Oil Cooler would increase the oil capacity by 0.75 quarts.

Will this work with the Boss Oil Cooler? Track Pack GT's and Boss cars come with the Boss Oil Cooler installed already as you know. Will the added width of the sandwich plate be too much for the oil filter to fit above the maintenance panel?

    • No, you will need to remove it and replace with the Mishimoto. And of course add the stock radiator hose. There is no reason to keep it anyway as it does little to remove oil heat and actually (my direct experience and others) increases waterr temps. If you are tracking the car in the summer you need a real air to oil cooler like this.

      Track Worthy

I installed this oil cooler for some extra insurance during road course track days in hot Texas summertime. Worked great! No high oil temp issues.

Review from Mishimoto Direct Fit Oil Cooler - Black (11-14 GT)

      Perfect Fit and Function

I do numerous track days at the Nurburgring with my '14 GT and have always had problems with engine oil/water temps dangerously rising about 3/4 through a lap. I would have to slow down and let the temps drop. I knew I needed to mitigate this issue and the Mishimoto oil cooler and was the perfect fix. I can now keep the revs higher without a worry of temp change lap after lap. Perfect fit and function!

Review from Mishimoto Direct Fit Oil Cooler - Black (11-14 GT)

      Good Product

This is a really nice product. Install was straight-forward and it works. I did have to modify the mount because I had installed a lareger radiator and supercharger heat exchanger. I cut the ends off the mount and fit it up and drilled it to mount to the top of the bumper. The hoses are a good length and it still fit. i don't have oil temp monitoring, but just feeling the fittings when I fired up the car to check for leaks I could feel a good difference in temps. I have about 20K miles since install, no issues.
