Can this be used under the hood to hide the battery?

      • This could be used, however, you will want to make sure there is sufficient room for placement, and keep the heat from the motor in mind when placing the box in its location.

Will an odyssey battery fit in this box?

      • While we can confirm the Moroso Sealed Polyethylene Battery Box (79-17 All) fits batteries such as Optima, we cannot confirm that Odyssey batteries will fit since we do not have the dimensions for them. We can however confirm that any battery with the dimensions of 10-1/2" deep, 13" wide, and 9-1/2" tall will be able to fit in this box.

          The metal one got away.

I wasn't sure which way I was going on the battery box but since it's going in the trunk and the trunk is black, it was the logical choice to go plastic(less expensive) and black (to match the interior). That being said, I picked up a battery today and happened to have the box in the trunk. I went out, dropped it into the box and away I went. Once I get the cables I will set it up and it will work exactly the way it was meant to. A very solid piece.

          High Quality

The Moroso battery relocation box is made of a strong sturdy plastic and it included all hardware to mount to the vehicle. This kit does not come with any wiring. The bracket and bolts in the kit are of high quality and really shows how Moroso really cares about their products. The install is not hard at all. Videos are availability about anywhere in the internet. Removal of gas tank is not optional, it is required. Plan where you will drill the holes in the vehicle to fasten the holding bolts since obstacles underneath the car can make it difficult and you do not want to make a bunch of holes. I would buy this kit again, and I strongly recommend this product.

Product is great. Directions are easy to follow. Putting my battery in the trunk with this box really cleaned up the engine bay and helps with weight distribution. I would recommend this product to anyone.

          Looks great

Doing a coyote swap and this will work great. Wanted something that could be painted to match my engine cover. Will be white with black 5.0 emblem and will mount in the center of the spare tire well and build a flash floor around it.

          Great product for the money!

Installed this in my 88 hatch, looks nice and clean, and since its plastic, it resists denting if you plan on carrying stuff in the cargo area. Also passes tech since it is the only sealed plastic box approved by the nhra.

          Moroso Battery Box

Great product for those that are not the flashy types. I have installed several trunk mount battery boxes and the Moroso unit is definitely on the top of my list for fit and function. For the price, you really can't go wrong!!! The black Moroso box is a perfect fit for My 93 Reef LSX Coupe build.

          Moroso sealed battery box

The moroso battery box was an awsome addition to my stang and really complimented the rear seat delete i just did. It really helped with the weight transfer especially after gutting the trunk. I chose this box over aluminum ones because of the price and durability of polyethelene(wont make a nice dent if its struck) lol. Overall it helps balance out my car a lot better so if u need better weight transfer u just can't beat the price of this box for all u diy'ers

          High quality battery box!

This kit has everything minus the cables to relocate your battery int he trunk. Either for a full out racecar or a street car looking to move some mass from the nose to the rear end this is a great product. It is made to high quality and very universal to install in many different applications. Make sure to do your homework about the other parts needed to install this item and any racing rules or regulations that may apply.

Tough install, but very worth it

While this install is a little tough it is completely worth it. Not only does this box move that heavy battery directly over the right rear tire but it also allows a much bigger, thus more powerful, battery to be installed. The quality of the box is unsurpassed. While it may not be as pretty as a stainless boxin the beginning it will look better in the long run because it wont show damage like the flat sides of the metal boxes. This box is well worth it the price and the challenge of the install.

          good quality

i liked this product because it was easy to install, looks good and won't look bad if anything hits it in the trunk because it is plastic.

This part is well worth it.

This product is very useful. It helps improve weight distribution which can be problematic for any muscle cars during cornering. Installation was not too bad, if you can install a car stereo you can figure this out. Becareful where you drill the mounting bolts though. If your unsure of location have a mechanic do it for you. If you run the wires most shop guys can mount the box for you in less than an hour and it won't cost too much. This is a must for auto x and helpful on street and strip as well. I noticed a slightly better launch with the more weight in the back but it's a night and day difference preventing nose dive while breaking. The polyurethane box is better than the steel/metal that most of the competitors feature. It's a little bit more money but if you want to relocate the box this is the relocation kit to buy.
