Has anyone hooked this tank up with the aftermarket SR high performance radiator fan (79-14 all)? I just put the fan in and it is working great but the stock coolant tank doesn't fit great so I was thinking of getting this tank and hooking it up, has anyone else tried this?

    • The Moroso Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank will utilize the OEM mounting locations, so this may not alleviate the issues you are experience. Please contact our Customer Service Department so that we can determine if this will be a good fit based on your fitment concerns.

Does the tank ship with a cap or is the stock cap used?

    • No, the tank does not ship with a cap, the stock vented cap would be reused.

Is this something that I can put ice in ?

    • Hello! The Moroso Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank is a direct fit replacement tank meant as a reservoir for coolant.

Does this have larger capacity than the factory 4.0 v6 tank?

    • The Moroso Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank would be smaller than the factory plastic tank but because it is smaller Moroso was able to make this tank much stronger and will be able to hold more pressure.

      2010 GT Conv

I took "Need 4 Speed"'s advice and hand polished the trank. Great idea. Looks awesome! Install was easy - I siphoned out the old tank into a container, using a very thin line so I could insert it well into the lower hose, and didn't spill a drop. Not counting siphon time, install was about 15 minutes. Three suggestions: 1) you will not be able to check coolant level visually any more since tank is opaque -> after install, refill with original coolant removed. Assuming you didn't spill any, this will be the correct level. Drive the car to full temp to settle air gaps in hoses. Cool and then measure space between top of filler neck and water level. You now have the correct level full mark; 2) I put a bit of silicone spray on the threads before installing the cap. The silicone helps the plastic cap and aluminum threads play nicer together on first screw down; 3) when removing the lower hose, be sure to support it. It is not stiff enough to stay upright on its own when removed from the tank and thus it will flop over and you may spill some coolant. Well worth the money for looks, function, and ease of install.

      Overflow tank

I like the tank and the way it looks. Warning to Mach 1 hood owners. If you have the dress up cap you add to original the cap will fowl hard on hood. I made a couple of brackets to move tank back and problem solved, also add a piece of convoluted tubing on radiator hose to protect it from rubbing on side of tank. I'm sure there's something else out there you can use if you want, I was thinging you could glue another piece of rubber on hose if ha want.

I just installed this tank, it really makes it looks professional. I was lazy when installing it... it worked... what I did was unbolted the two bolts and tilt the tank into a bag/bucket under the engine. It taken me about 30 minutes from start to finish. It a very strong construction, it looks great... I had taken a picture with my cell phone... I have to come back and take a picture with a real camera. I hate to say it, but its worth the money to have.

      Just what I needed

Replaced my radiator with mishimoto and fan with sr slim with shroud. This moroso coolant tank fit perfect with that combo and looks way better than the plastic stock coolant tank.

      great looks and easy install

This took less than 10 minutes to install. I unbolted the tank, turned it upside down and disconnected the bottom hose, then set aside keeping it upside down. After installing the new tank, I turned the stock tank right side up with the bottom spout over the fill hole so the antifreeze poured into the new tank. No mess and this with the Moroso power steering reservoir makes the engine compartment look way better.

      Excellent made product.

Very easy install. it took very little time to install with no special tools. I did use a suction pump to remove the coolent from tank first and refilled with fresh coolent. I would highly recomend this product. Mark

      Eye candy

This thing is eye candy and nothing more can be said! Only one drawback in the resovior. There's no "fill line" so it's kinda a craps shoot putting in coolant lol. But other than that the product looks amazing under the hood only took 10 minutes to drain and install. Will be buying more from moroso soon!

Moroso products are very pleasing to the eye and work very well Great products for you show car guys and ladies.

I bought the expansion tank to give the gt/cs a nice look with the other Moroso products. I also have fuse box cover and master brake cover. My wife and I installed in just a 30 minute install.Had to cut hose and use a turkey baster to take anti freeze out.

      Moroso Aluminum Coolant Tank GT500

The tank really enhances the engine bay, a very nice addition. Took maybe 25 minutes to install. I would have liked the inlet line to have been angled a little more, it would keep the coolant line square. Overall quite pleased with my purchase.
