How to Install a Moroso Aluminum Power Steering Tank on you 2005-2010 Mustang GT, V6 and Bullitt

Tools Required
  • Slip-Joint Pliers
  • 8mm Socket/Wrench
  • Flathead Screwdriver
  • Turkey Baster
  • Car Floor Jack
  • 2 Jack Stands

Installation Instructions:


1. Remove fluid from the stock power steering tank. This can be accomplished with a Turkey Baster.


2. Remove single bolt on power steering tank, an 8MM wrench/socket can be used to remove the Bolt.


NOTE: Have a small container to catch any fluid from power steering lines.


3. Disconnect two lines from power steering tank. This can be accomplished using the Slip-joint pliers.


NOTE You may need to use the Flathead Screwdriver to loosen the line from the Tank.


4. Remove power steering tank.


5. Connect two lines to new power steering tank.


6. Install single bolt on new power steering tank. Tighten using 8MM wrench/socket.


7. Fill new power steering tank with power steering fluid 1/2 inch from the top.


BLEED AIR FROM POWER STEERING.


8. Jack the front wheels off the ground just enough to turn the wheel freely.


9. Remove cap from new power steering tank.


NOTE: Do Not Start Engine.

10. With engine NOT running, turn the steering wheel all the way to right and back all the way to the left 30 to 40 times.


11. Lower front wheels back to the ground.


12. Install cap on new power steering tank.


13. Start the engine. Make sure the new Tank and lines are not leaking.
