Description
High-Performance Distributor. The MSD Crab Cap Distributor; Red is engineered to provide optimal ignition timing and clearance in tight engine compartments. Construction and Appearance. Crafted from CNC machined billet aluminum housing and base, this distributor features a polished, QPQ-coated steel shaft running on a sealed ball bearing for longevity. The red finish and low-profile crab cap design enhance functionality by reducing distributor height and improving clearance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with no drilling required, designed for ease of mounting in engines with limited clearance. It is compatible with most hydraulic roller cam applications and requires use with an ignition control system.
Warranty. This distributor comes with a manufacturer's limited one-year warranty.
Application. Specifically fits 1979 5.0L Mustang and 1982-1985 5.0L Mustang models, addressing clearance issues commonly encountered with stock distributors in these vehicles.
