Description
Mechanical Fan Control. The Davies Craig Mechanical Thermatic Fan Switch Kit monitors coolant temperature after it exits the engine block and before it reaches the radiator. It triggers electric fans and water pumps based on temperature settings adjustable between 40°C and 100°C (104°F to 212°F), ensuring efficient engine cooling. The kit enhances vehicle cooling system performance by enabling both thermal activation and air conditioning override for fan operation.
Construction and Appearance. The fan switch features a durable stainless steel sensor probe designed to fit inside radiator hoses with a 6mm olive size. The main switch components include robust metal parts with a mounting bracket and a thermal switch knob finished for practical use in engine bay environments. The sensor wire is 110cm long for flexible installation.
Installation. Installation requires mounting the switch near the radiator and inserting the stainless steel sensor probe into the radiator hose. Basic mechanical skills are sufficient, and no major modifications such as drilling are typically necessary.
Application. This fan switch kit is designed for universal fitment across various vehicles; however, some adaptation may be required depending on specific radiator hose sizes and configurations.
