Before installation though, it is recommended that you thoroughly clean your side mirrors’ surfaces before wiping these down with a clean rag moistened with alcohol or acetone. This is to get rid of any oils or other contaminants that can inhibit proper adhesion. It is also recommended that you first warm up the mounting surfaces when mounting these covers in cold weather as the adhesive works best on warm surfaces. This can be accomplished with a heat gun or hairdryer.
