Description
GPS Touch Screen Navigation. Upgrade the base factory radio found in your 2015-2017 Mustang to an ultramodern touch screen with this Navigation and Touch Screen Upgrade for OE Radio. This Navigation Upgrade Kit includes an 8-inch touch-screen LCD display with a factory style dash bezel that maintains the factory radio and HVAC controls for a completely OE-Style appearance. This Kit is not just a larger display, it also includes iGO NextGen Navigation Software, HDMI Connectivity and an OBDII Reader. You get all these features and keep all of your factory and Sync enabled functions as well.
iGO NextGen Software.This Navigation System is pre-loaded with state of the art iGO NextGen software. iGO NextGen provides voice and visual turn-by-turn directions to any destination in the US and Canada with easy to follow graphics. In addition, NextGen includes 2D and 3D modes, as well as topography and 3D building views for major cities. As an added bonus, the iGO NextGen is loaded with more than 17 million points of interest across the US and Canada.
Eight-Inch Touch Screen Display. The factory equipped screen is almost a joke. It is only 4 inches in size and is not even a touch screen. To fix this embarrassing issue, it includes a significantly larger high resolution 8-inch touch-screen (800 x 480), which is double the size of the existing OE display. This high resolution touch screen display makes your entertainment and navigation system much easier to use and enjoy.
HDMI Connectivity. The Navigation Upgrade Kit includes an HDMI input that allows you to mirror (view) the content displayed on your Android or Apple phone directly on the high definition 8-inch screen (while parked). This is a very convenient way to view your text messages and favorite mobile phone apps. A MHL to HDMI cable is included and is compatible with most of today's popular smartphones.
Back-up Camera Input. For safety and convenience, it includes the input cables required to retain the use of your factory installed reverse camera. The camera will operate the same as before and will automatically activate when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. The only difference is your view will be on a much larger and easier to see 8-inch display.
Retains Sync® Functions. You know just how convenient Ford's SYNC® System is, that is why this Upgrade Kit retains all the voice-controlled factory functions. This includes AM-FM radio, CD-IPOD audio and Bluetooth hands-free systems.
OBDII Reader. This Navigation Upgrade Kit is designed with an OBDII reader. This built-in ODB2 reader will allow you to view basic vehicle information such as tire pressure, door and trunk status, as well as parking brake status. Please note, that this reader can not read or clear trouble codes.
Application. This Navigation and Touch Screen Upgrade for OE Radio is designed to fit 2015-2017 Mustangs equipped with the standard OE Radio with the 4-Inch screen only.
