      Review & Installation Video

Hi I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m taking a closer look at this pre-painted chin spoiler fitting all 2010 through 2012 Mustang GT’s. First, let’s talk construction, taking a closer look at the chin spoiler itself you’ll notice a very durable and rugged injection molded urethane, which is a huge plus for a part such as this. That’s just because being where it’s located, being so close to the ground, it’s inevitable than you’re going to catch a stick or some other road debris, and probably crack or damage a fiberglass or thin plastic chin spoiler. As you can see that pre-painted finish really gives the chin spoiler a factory like appearance that blends seamlessly with your front bumper. Our paint shop here at AmericanMuscle headquarters uses the same base and clear coat that Ford uses in their factory, making for a perfect color match right out of the box. Since these parts are painted right here in house, they are always in stock and ready to be shipped to you the same day as your order, with no waiting. Installing this chin spoiler is relatively painless thanks to the detailed instructions and the preinstalled 3M automotive tape. You will have to reuse your factory hardware and rotate your factory horns but I’ve really got to tell you it’s really not a big deal as the detailed instructions lay it all out for you very clearly. With that said getting everything installed should only take you about an hour. So if you’re looking to give your coyote Mustang a meaner, more aggressive front end, then you’ll want to check out this pre-painted chin spoiler available right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

Aggressive Modern Styling. Now you can complete the cool modern styling of your GT Mustang with an aggressive GT Style Chin Spoiler for impressive good looks. This GT style chin spoiler is not only made of durable urethane for a long life, but comes pre-painted to match your Mustangs factory color straight out of the box.

Painted Here to Match 2010-2012 Factory Mustang Colors. This Chin Spoiler is painted right here, at AmericanMuscle HQ, to match your stock Ford Mustang colors exactly. It will give your Pony a great, aggressive appearance that will make it stand out from the rest of the herd.

Rugged Construction, Simple Installation. Manufactured from rugged high pressure, injection molded urethane, this chin spoiler is painted with the same base coat and clear coat urethane paint Ford uses on the exterior of your Mustang for a perfect color match. Installation is simple using stock hardware and supplied Acrylic Bonding Tape to have you on the road in under an hour.

Application. This Pre-painted Chin Spoiler is designed to be a perfect addition to any 2010-2012 GT Mustang, including Coupes and Convertibles. Does not fit V6 or Shelby GT500 models.

      Find Your Paint Code

      • Choose the year of your Mustang from the options above. The color choices displayed will be the only exterior paint colors available for your year Mustang. The first two letters for each color option are the paint code for your exterior color.

      • If you need to verify your paint code, look inside the door jam of your driver's side door at your VIN plate to find your exterior paint code.

This Chin Spoiler is also available Unpainted for those who like to do-it-yourself.

Shipping Note. This product can not be shipped to an APO/FPO, Guam or US Virgin Islands addresses.

What would I need to get for this chin to fit on my 2011 GT?

      AnthonyT

      • In order for this to fit on a GT, you will need the entire GT/CS or Boss 302 front fascia.

My car is Kona Blue but the rear defuser is black and appears to have a blue metal flake in the paint. The rocker panels are the same and I would like to keep the chin spoiler the same so I would be ordering my chin spoiler in UA color. Can someone tell me if the UA has a metal flake to it?

      Michael

      • UA Black will be the standard Ford Non Metallic Black, and will not have any metal flake in it.

Being that the side skirts on the mustangs are black from the factory.... Can you paint them masked so that the only thing painted is the flat (recessed) panel, leaving the grill and the triangular side skirts black? It would match the existing better. I'm wanting to add Lemans stripes all the way to the ground in the front.

      Mu5tang

      • At this time we are unable to paint the CDC Chin Spoiler in this manner. This would require custom painting at your bodyshop.

        Cdc chine spoiler

This product is amazing it just makes the front end look more aggressive. Unfortunately the instructions are not that great they dont tell you you need bumper off. You need to take it off because on each side they are some taps and screw you need to take off and it makes it easy to install the new one with the bumpers of. Its took me about 2 hours for the whole thing but it wasnt bad

        Looks Awesome

Was easy to install...except for removing the phillips screws from the corners of the stock one. For some reason, I did not have to rotate the horn on my car. Looks sick...more aggressive....should have come stock.

        Review from CDC Chin Spoiler - Unpainted (10-12 GT/CS; 2012 BOSS 302)

        Gonna need some work

From a few feet away this looks great and pretty aggressive. However, the fitment issues become apparent when looking closer. The outer edges do not come close enough to the body to force the 3M tape to stick to the bumper. If you're lowered look elsewhere because this takes 1.5-2" of ground clearance away from the front end and this lip is not sturdy enough to take a few hits, again the outer edges will want to break off. Also, you'll want to relocate your horn as these have ducts that sit just below the horn and any bump to the lip can damage them. Aside from all of that, it's a pretty easy install and will definitely add character to the front end. The optional brake cooling ducts are a nice touch too.

        Chin spoiler

I really love the look. Makes my car look 10x more aggressive. The only problem I have is the ends where the 3m tape is doesn't connect and leaves space. Some of the 3m tape is attached but not the full thing. Other than that I really enjoy it.

finishing touch for the front end

Great looking front spoiler! install not too hard, I ended up retro fitting some rigid DOT fog lights in the lower holes and it worked out fantastically! It does add some extra inches to the front of your car so you will scrape on areas you didn't before and I'm not even lowered. Overall great piece!

        ordered plain black

I love the look of this chin spoiler. Adds an aggressive edge to the front of the vehicle. Everyones posts about the edges along the tape not sitting flush are correct. In fact mine had a little divot missing (looked like a defect in the mold or something). But it was slight enough I just installed it, not wanting to go through the hassle of sending it back amd wait for a new one, not knowing if that one would be any better. I ordered the black and am very happy with it. If I had ordered color match I probably wouldn't have been as happy with the fit. But all in all, for an after market part I'm extremely pleased with it. Really transforms the look of the front bumper.

        Chin Spoiler

The CDC chin spoiler came in a protective package and had a beautiful finish. The color matched the factory paint exactly. The install took about 20 minutes. This was made easier because I had access to a rack but jack stands will work just fine. Looks really great especially with the continued striping.
