Description
Advanced Blind Spot Detection. The Radar Blind Spot System with Cross-Traffic Detection enhances driver awareness by monitoring blind spots and alerting to nearby vehicles and cross traffic. This aftermarket retrofit system improves safety on any vehicle equipped with plastic bumpers by providing accurate radar-based detection while substantially reducing false alerts. It is essential for drivers seeking to increase visibility and avoid collisions during lane changes and reversing.
Construction and Appearance. This system uses high-frequency 76GHz to 77GHz radar sensors housed in weatherproof IP69-rated enclosures, designed for mounting behind plastic rear fascia. The human-machine interface (HMI) features black trim with amber warning lights, installed via drill-in mounting. The audible buzzer can be attached with 3M tape or screws and offers adjustable volume levels for customizable alerts.
Installation. The sensors are externally mounted behind the vehicle’s rear plastic fascia using brackets and screws, and the HMI indicator lights require drill-in installation. The included wiring harnesses—21 feet for the main harness and 6.5 feet for the rear sensors—ease integration. Some adaptation may be necessary depending on the vehicle’s specific configuration.

Application. Designed for universal fitment on vehicles with plastic rear bumpers; some adaptation may be needed. This system does not function through metal bumpers and is not compatible with vehicles featuring metallic fascias.
