    Review & Install Video

Hey guys, Stephanie with AmericanMuscle.com, here with my review of these black projector headlights for 1994 to '98 GT and V6 Mustangs. These headlights are going to be a good option for those guys out there that are looking to give their SN95 a very modern look with a set of one-piece, dual LED halo headlights. Headlights can have a big impact on the looks of a car, and I would say that these totally transform the SN95. You get the best of both worlds here since you have a black housing for stealthy style, but clear lenses so you can see even better at night. These are one-piece headlights that have black housings, clear lenses, and LED halos with accent lighting, so there's a lot going on here. This isn't just a plain upgraded headlight. This is a headlight that has the works when it comes to after-market headlight options. There's nothing else to add to these besides a side of fries, but I would say that these headlights definitely have a stealthy look to them and the black housing is to thank for that. The black housings give the LED accent lighting and the halo something to really stand out against, both during the day and at night. What's nice about these headlights though, is they have that clear lens, which means that you won't have any trouble seeing at night. You're actually going to have increased visibility at night since these are projector-style lights. And thanks to the LED lighting that these have, the projector lenses have a bright focused beam of light, and this is a different style of light than the standard halogen. And like I mentioned earlier, these headlights have dual halos that are LED-lit, and they have some LED accent lighting as well. The LED accent lighting consists of three LEDs that sit right here along the top of the headlights and they give the headlights and the car a very different look at night when they're lit. These headlights are DOT-approved and so they're legal for street use, and these are going to come with a set of H3 high and low-beam bulbs. Another thing that's going to make these headlights look different and like an upgrade over the factory headlights is the fact that these are one piece. All headlights are one piece anymore, and these make the SN95 look like it should have come from factory with a one-piece. They look much better than a three-piece light on these cars, at least in my opinion. As far as price, these headlights are what I'm going to call fully loaded and as such, they are going to be on the more expensive side of all the headlight offerings on the site. They are not the most expensive option, but they do cost just over $150. If that's a little bit expensive for you, there are some options on the site that are less expensive. When it comes to the install, you can expect to spend about an hour and I'm going to call this a one out of three wrenches on the scale, even though there is some wiring. But the headlights do come with some quick splice connectors to help you out with this part. You're going to need some basic hand and wiring tools to get this done, but nothing out of the ordinary. There isn't a whole lot to do to get headlights into an SN95, just some tabs and some bolts to undo, so it doesn't get much easier. Once the old headlights are out, you can install the new lights and wire them in. And keep in mind that you might have to aim these after the install if you want the best view at night, but the adjustment process isn't difficult. Wrapping this up, these black projector headlights have dual LED halos and LED accent lighting as well. They are a projector-style, one-piece headlight with black housing for stealthy look, and they can add a little style by themselves, or they can help to complete a whole smoked package. You can check these out more online for yourself and for all things Mustang, keep it right here at AmericanMuscle.com.

What is that big black rubber piece above the blinker area? can that be removed, sort of an eyesore?

    • The piece that is above the Axial Black Projector Headlights is weatherstripping. It cannot be removed.

Do these actually project a good amount of light? Because the ones I ha e now are not stock and the guy before bought them and put them on and they do not project any sort of light.

    DylanA

    • The Axial Black Projector Headlights project a good amount of light, however, if you would like even superior lighting, we would highly recommend an upgraded bulb. We do carry the Sylvania Silverstar Light Bulbs, item 19109 and Hella High Performance 2.0 Bulbs, item 394210. http://www.americanmuscle.com/sylvania-silverstar-h3.html http://www.americanmuscle.com/hella-high-performance-2zero-h3-bulbs-pair.html

Does this split the single 9007 bulb into 2 different high/low bulbs? The video shows it like a warm white / yellow color.

    MattK

    • Yes, this headlight does split the existing 9007 connector to two separate H3 bulbs.

      Looks great but...

Not a perfect fit. Had to do some rigging. Also one high beam bulb was blown had to replace. Rubber seals were gone after a week of driving but found replacements (no big deal). Lights are very bright. Impressed.

They do not fill the whole highlight housing and the rubber piece came off the headlights before I even put them in. I guess you can say they are good $100 pair of headlights

      So sick !

Absolutely in love with these lights. Pretty quick and easy installation. The rubber around the lights is coming off a little bit so they definitely needed to be glued down. Not sure how long the glue will last or if it will make it through a car wash, but I wash it myself anyway. Super happy with how these look. So so nice

      AXIAL HEADLIGHTS

Love the Halo look, however very disappointed in fitment. Doesn't have good projectors for light beam. Rubber seal came loose on installation. Will put OE lights back in after polishing lens. Would love to find two piece Halo's with good fitment and light projectory.

      Could been better

Overall it is better than my old stock headlights. But fitting was horrible. I had to reuse adjustment parts from stock headlight, but that was too short. As a result my right headlight is aiming a little high and impossible to adjust. The size of the headlight is small and I had to cover all ugly gaps around it with additional rubber weatherstrip. But at the end of the day the lights are bright, but I wold have expected a little more, honestly. You get what you paid for, they are worth the money you paid.

Looks great once they are installed

I ordered them and got them two days later. They look and work great once they are installed. However, they really need to come with better instructions and packaging methods. The instructions that come with the headlights are nearly useless but at least there are youtube videos that are very helpful. The Styrofoam that was used in the packaging was somehow melted to the wiring and headlights when I received them. I also had to re-glue the weather stripping since it came off due to the packaging. I also had to trim the wiring down to cut off all the melted styrofoam. Also, the plastic self-locking receptacle nuts that come with the lights are cheap and break easily and I went through two of them making the headlight adjustments. I would advise purchasing a couple extras just in case, or possibly reusing the old ones if they are still useable. Still, even with these minor issues I would buy them again and recommend them.

      Look nice...from a distance.

After installing these headlights I took my Pony for a ride and the rubber gaskets that were supposed to fill the huge gap between the body and the lights, flew off almost at the same time! I stopped, scooped them up and then had to figure out a way to glue them back in...they are unsightly and ugly to have this rubber sticking out and I am very disappointed by the fit...the lights do look and work good, but whats up with this gap??? I hope they figure it out because it annoys me to even look at them now. Need a solution to fill this gap!

Not a very hard installation. I DID NOT like the fact that I had to use a different type of headlight bulb! I already had an expensive HID kit that isn't any good now.

they said these were adjustable but you can barely adjust them at all. cant see at night. had to cut into the front clip to put turn signal bulbs and the rubber seals are useless. they fog up regularly. terrible design.

      Piece of junk

Pass pass pass on these lights! I am actually gonna my to put the 20 year old Lights back in! You would be better off just throwing $100 out on the street, versus what you get. At this price point I didn’t have super high expectations, yet I was still disappointed! Fitment is horrible, in some points I can fit my finger in the gaps. The rubber gasket/body seal is butt ugly and is barely attached, completely useless! All around due, figment and appearance anc wise. Run away from the snow eve of garbage.
