Hey guys. Today we're gonna be taking a look at and installing the Raxiom Profile LED tail lights for 2015 and newer Mustang. These tail lights offer a very bold way to change up the exterior styling of your Mustang. While they are very different in appearance, they do maintain some of that classic and iconic styling that you guys are used to like the tri-bar design as well as a sequential turn signal. They have very bright LEDs in them. They cost about $500 and they're a direct Plug and Play replacement which is gonna make the install very easy. I'll call it a one out of three wrenches in the difficulty meter and of course, we'll show you how to get them installed now. For this install, we used a 3/8 drive power ratchet, a body clip removal tool, a 10-millimeter socket, and a plastic body panel removal tool. All right, guys. So the first step of our install is obviously gonna be to pop our trunk so we get to our tail lights. After we pop the trunk what we're gonna do is remove the trunk panel. So there are four fasteners that are holding this in place, two on each side. We're just gonna go ahead and unthread these. All right. So we'll do the same thing on the other side here. And after this, we'll be able to remove our panel. All right. So this is held in place by a couple of push pins so it will give you guys a little bit of resistance. We're just gonna pull upward on it a little bit and then we'll work our way off our studs here and then we'll pull the panel out. Our next step is going to be to remove this push pin here so that we can pull the trunk liner back. So I'm just gonna go ahead and work in behind the trunk liner and then pry this out of place. So there are three 10-millimeter nuts that are holding your tail light in place. Two of them are here, the other one is further towards the outside of the car. We're gonna go ahead and remove all three of those nuts. All right. So now we'll need to unclip our electrical connection which is right here, so we'll push the tab and then just pull. At this point, you're ready to remove your factory tail light. Now if you guys are worried about scratching your bumper, you can always use a small piece of painter's tape across here just to make sure you won't have any scratches at the end of the day. So what we're gonna do is we're just going to pull backwards a little bit and if you find that your tail light's a little bit stuck, you can pry up a little bit on this corner because there is a clip here. It'll pop out of place and then we can very carefully work our tail light out. Keep in mind that we do have this harness here that we'll need to remove. So what I'm gonna do is I'm just going to peel back this grommet and it should pop right out of place, then we'll grab the rest of our harness and our tail light's out. So with one factory tail light uninstalled, now is a good time to actually compare our factory tail lights to the Raxiom tail lights. So your Raxiom tail lights are obviously gonna look a lot different than your factory tail lights. Your factory tail lights aren't smooth and flush like the Raxiom tail lights are. They actually stick out and they do protrude a little bit. So you're gonna have a big styling change up here with more of a flush tail light. So even though these are flush and they're a little bit different styling-wise, you do keep the same tri-bar design though which is almost iconic at this point with these cars. So right here you have a red polycarbonate lens and you also have a gloss black housing with these tail lights. They are DOT and SAE legal and they do have very bright LEDs in them so you don't have to worry about having a blacked out tail light. These will keep your sequential turn signals though, which is almost a must-have for these cars at this point especially considering they come from the factory with it. One thing you will need to do though is transfer over your factory top trim piece from your stock tail light to the Raxiom tail light. So what we're gonna do now is actually we're gonna transfer over the trim piece, and then we're gonna install one Raxiom tail light so you guys can see both a factory tail light and a Raxiom tail light on the car at the same time and get a good comparison. Then we'll go ahead and move forward and finish our install. So I'm gonna use this plastic trim removal tool to help me get this piece of trim off. There are three clips here sitting right about here across the top of this trim piece. All right. So we're gonna take our trim tool and what we're gonna do is slide it underneath our trim and then we'll pry up. It should pop out of place. And then we'll just wiggle our last clip out here and we'll transfer this over to the Raxiom tail light. All right. So this is just gonna pop into place, you guys can see the clips here. It's gonna pop right into place on the Raxiom tail light and now we can go ahead and get this installed on the car. So the Raxiom tail lights are gonna install the exact same way the factory tail lights came out. So what we're gonna do is we'll feed our electrical harness in first and then we'll get our grommet in place and then the tail light in place and then bolt it down. So you want to make sure that your grommet is seated fully and correctly, and then you can go ahead and get your tail light in place. All right. So basically you're just going to be lining up the studs and there are two dowels as well, you'll line them up. Once everything's lined up, your tail light will slide into place. From there you can grab your hardware, get it started. Then we'll grab our 10-millimeter socket and tighten these down. Next, we'll plug in our electrical connection. All right. Then we can get our trunk liner back down into place as well as our plastic piece here. So there's a magnet here. The magnet will snap into place and then we'll take our push pin right here. Get that back into place. All right, guys. We're gonna finish up our install by removing the stock tail light on our driver side. So we're gonna go ahead, we're gonna peel our trunk liner back on this side. So we'll pop the clip out of place, we'll peel this back. We'll go ahead, grab our 10-millimeter, remove the three nuts. While we're here we'll also disconnect our electrical connection which is right here. So we'll push down on the tab here, separate the two, and then we'll reach in on the far side and remove the third nut. We'll reach back here, peel the grommet back and then pull our harness through. We'll transfer over the top trim piece from the factory tail light onto the Raxiom tail light, then we'll go ahead and do the same thing on this side. So we're gonna feed our harness in, we'll get our grommet in place and then we will line our tail light up. We'll get that in place and then bolt it down. Then we will plug in our tail light, get our trunk liner back in place, you guys heard the magnet snap-in already. We'll just get our push pin in too and then from here, we'll just grab the plastic piece. All right. So we're gonna slide our plastic trim piece into place. So we're gonna get it underneath our bottom trunk cover and we are going to work to slide this into place. Keep in mind that we will need to line up the studs as well as get our clips into place here. All right. So now we are checking to make sure all of our studs are lined up so that we can reinstall our hardware. All right. Now we're going to reinstall our fasteners. We'll just thread them into place. All right, guys. That's gonna wrap up this review and install. Keep in mind you can always check these tail lights out more online right here at americanmuscle.com.
