    Features & Details

    • Increases Horsepower and Torque
    • Improves Throttle Response and Fuel Mileage
    • Simple Installation
    • Designed for Use with the M90 ROUSHcharger
    • Fits 2005-2009 GT Mustangs
Improves Airflow. The Roush Performance Mustang Cold Air Intake kit for the M90 ROUSHcharger replaces the restrictive stock air box and paper filter with a high flow filter assembly and intake tube to improve airflow for more power, better throttle response, and better fuel economy.

Superior Filtration. Roush air filter media is constructed from a synthetic nano-fiber material that captures almost twice the percentage of 2 micron particulates, and more than six times the amount of 0.5 micron particulates than the competitors' cotton-gauze "performance" filters can. All Roush air filters are 100% washable, reusable and feature a lifetime warranty.

Superior Quality. Roush manufactures the air-box tray and modular intake tube in this CAI kit from quality high-density polyethylene plastic for superior structural stability, and strength. This kit comes complete with a custom high-flow ROUSH air filter, MAF tube, Air-box tray with EPDM foam hood seal, and the necessary Mounting hardware.

Application. This Roush Performance Cold Air Intake is specifically designed for use on the 2005 to 2009 GT Mustang with the Roush M90 Supercharger installed.

Do you offer a tune for this CAI? I have a 2008 428R, do you offer a tune for this? thanks

        • Unfortunately, our Bama team does not offer tunes for this particular Roush CAI. It would require a Dyno tune to function properly.

Does this intake need to be tuned?

        • This CAI is specifically designed to be used in conjunction with the M90 Supercharger, which requires PCM recalibration once installed.

Great Mod... But With Tune and Smaller Pulley

Great quality CAI piece from Roush. Very easy install (literally 10 minutes or less). BUT, as the instructions say, do NOT install without a tune. There is a reason for it. There is a popular misconception bouncing around the web about running this particular CAI without a tune (the thought being, because the diameter of the intake tube where the MAF is located doesn't change, you can run without a tune), but I can tell you it doesn't work. A well-known tuner told me I could run this CAI without a tune if I wanted to, and I tried it, but the car refused to idle or run well, and the fuel trims would not reset due to the extra 400 CFM coming through the system. So, from my personal experience, there is a reason Roush says to run with a tune. All that said, I went for it and bought a 2.57 pulley, a 90mm idler, a 160* thermostat, and went with a specific tune for this CAI with a well-known tuner, and that combination really woke the car up, big time. Much more power throughout all RPMs, more torque, and a totally different-feeling car. With this combo, I am pushing about 410 to the wheels (the 2.49 pulley would probably add another 10, which is about as far as the little M90 can go without heat sinking), which is fine for my street driving. That said, the IATs on the M90 do bounce up, so I would suggest a larger heat exchanger to help keep the temps down. The M90 was basically designed as a supercharger for a six cylinder, so using this CAI along with the tune and the pulley will max it out - but the next step above this is thousands more on a TVS unit and a forged rotating assembly to handle it. But, for what it is, this CAI makes driving much more fun without breaking the bank.

            Good mod

Picked up some more power in the top end and definitely an increase in torque. Good upgrade with smaller pulleys to add some more boost.

            Easy Install - Good Upgrade

Part was a very easy performance upgrade install. For $100 Roush will redo the tune but you have to take out the PCM and send it to them in Michigan. I did so and had it back within 3 business days. Would have to dyno to determine performance increase but the car is faster and is even running a little cooler. Too early to tell how it will affect the gas mileage.

this is what this m90 needed. The cai from roush was a good up grade, and sounds great.

Quick install and a tune let my roushcharger really breathe. A must have.

            Marginal gains for the money

This is an easy install, even for novices. The biggest performance change I've noticed is in the sound, though there is some hp gain, but less than I expected. Virtually no change in mileage. Also, be forewarned that your PCM will need a retune, and the manufacturer will be happy to accomodate you for a $100 fee which is not mentioned in the downloaded installation manual.

            Well worth the money

This filter was the final piece i needed to finish off my ROUSHcharger. Overall the air filter has increased the gas mileage, made shifting gears a lot easier ( in the sense that the car doesnt make a slight jerk as it did before the filter was installed), and it also made the car sound a little more amazing. Definitely worth every penny.

One of the easiest Mods for the price

I have a 08 Gt, which had the M90 Super Charger but the factory air box. I replaced it with the Roush Cold Air Intake and noticed an incredible difference. I had a more crisp throttle response and amazing power difference. Not only will your vehicle come alive but it will also have a cleaner engine compartment. I'm very pleased with the performance of the Roush Cold Air Intake

            Excellent Roush CAI

Its was quick and easy to install the filter kit. Made my engine compartment look better compared to the stock fliter housing. Also tested and i could feel the difference between the stock fliter and the roush CAI
