5 2016 GT - MarcC Installation Time: Weekend

        Roush stage 2 727HP AWESOME!!!

Roush has updated their kits. They now send you all new hoses. No cutting and modifying the old ones. Directions are good. Watch the videos on installation they help clarify things. I took my time with the install because I had to wait for the PCM to come back from Roush. In all I took about 15-17hours to install everything and have it running. Now be aware that things can go wrong even if Roush does the PCM flash. Mine threw an Indio code on start up P0315. Crankshaft position sensor not learned. 3 calls to Roush and a trip to a local Ford dealership that was familiar with working on modified cars and all is well. Great running and awesome power. The kit is super clean and looks factory.

        It's not bad

I like the power it's gives however I have check engine light. When I asked the ford dealers who was installed the supercharger he said that it it might be because I have headers and the best way to get away from the check engine light is to do "dynio" to program the car. They told me that I can drive the car like that nothing will happen!!!!

My 2016 GT Convertible has Kooks 1-7/8" Catted Long Tubes and Magnaflow Street Catback already installed on it. Will Roush be able to flash my PCM for this setup if I send it in to them?

      • Hey! The Roush R2300 727HP Supercharger - Phase 2 Kit PCM flash is a base tune. For custom tuning, you would need to consult with a tuning company.

If I install this Roush phase 2 kit on my bone stock 2015 GT can I expect to be replacing clutch components, drive shaft, rear end, etc...? Just wondering how the stock GT was built and how it reacts to 700 HP.

      • When installing this supercharger, an upgraded clutch would be recommended since the factory clutch would not handle that much power. Other driveline items such as the driveshaft and rear would not need to be replaced when going with an upgrade like a supercharger.

With this kit what kind of fuel/octane can I use?

      • This kit requires the use of premium fuel (91 octane and up). With a custom dyno tune, you may use some alternative fuels such as Ethanol 85, Ethanol 90, etc.

I want to keep the rims 20's what are the best set of tiers I can get when I install my R2300? I do want the rear 305 if possible. please help!

      • Well for the rear tires you want to go as fat as possible. Depending on your backspacing/offset you may be able to squeeze 315s, but a 305 would fit no problem (and still PLENTY fat). However, if your Mustang has lowering springs, anything bigger than a 275 would require measuring, or be a lucky guess, if you wanted it to fit without rubbing. The front tires are less important in terms of traction and you can certainly buy according to your desired look (just don't go too thin!). Personally I think a 255 is perfect, and if you Mustang is lowered that's probably as big as you can get up front. 275 if it's stock height.

Is it possible to get a different tune than the Roush one without voiding warranty? 1 answer
RE: Rough 727HP Supercharger kit on the ‘15 Mustang GT Premium with PP. Any “Recall” factory update list verification “gaskets water pump. Head temperature variance; and or, exhaust back pressure change by x-pipe replacement of resonator effects to CPU tune upgrade.” I’m able to monitor my head temps already. Roush is not recommending any fan, grill or water pump upgrades to be mandatory.
