How to Install a Billet Locking Fuel Cap on your 2005-2009 Mustang

Safety: Engage Emergency Brake or insure in Park for Automatics.

Install

(1) Remove Plastic Fuel Cap Lanyard from fuel door and remove fuel cap

(2) Install Billet Locking Fuel Cap, turn until it locks and spins freely

(3) Use TWO hands when locking and unlocking the Fuel Cap. The left hand holds the Billet Fuel Cap immobile and your right hand turns the key to lock and unlock it. Your left hand then unscrews the unlocked cap.

Note: Due to some comments in the reviews Step 3 is highlighted. This fuel cap is not a one handed operation like some caps, where you insert the key and can remove the cap with a turn of the key in one hand. This high quality fuel cap must be held immobile with one hand while the other hand turns the key to lock and unlock it.
