How To Install Hatchback Shock Access Covers – Gray on Your 1987-1989 Mustang

Removal procedure:

Step 1: Take a flathead screwdriver and gently pry up on one edge of the cover until it unsnaps.

Step 2: With one corner pried up use your hand to grab the cover and keep lifting up around the edges until the cover is free.

Step 3: Repeat for both sides.

Installation Procedure:

Step 1: Looking at the back of the new Access covers you will see letters stamped, Either LH or RH. LH= Left side, RH= right side. Make sure you match the correct cover with each side.

Left Hand Side (driver)

Right Hand Side (passenger)

Step 2: With the correct cover start by placing one side into its bezel.

Step 3: Working your way up from the bottom push on the cover to snap all corners into place.

Step 4: repeat for both sides.

Step 5: Enjoy your new Access covers.
