I have a '94, but had to modify the Altezza tail lights to fit the buckets and they fill with condensation. Any fix for the moisture problem?

Nasty

  • Seal the lights with some kind of epoxy or sealant so that air or water can't go in to create condensations or moisture.

It says that these lights fit 94-95 but would they fit the 96-98 years too just as easy? Really like this style of light but don't want to get something that doesn't fit

  • I wouldn't risk it. The lights fit mine perfectly but the car's styling changes slightly over the years

    After market tail iights

These are a great looking tail lights and make my 95 different then most stangs. they are a perfect fit and easy to install. These are the second ones I have purchased because the first set passenger side went bad in less then two years (fill of moisture) This is a show car never goes out in the rain, hand washed (no Hose) garage kept and covered. I have been up a AM customer since 2002 and this is the first time I have ever had a problem with and purchase Don't know if I would recommend them to other stang owners.

    not happy

I have put 2 sets in my 1995 GT and both right lights got moisture in the outer lenses. I have taken them out several times and cannot find a reason for the moisture in between the outer and inside lenses. I like the lights and the styling and everything else about them. I'm not happy at all with moisture problem.

    • Response from AmericanMuscle

It's a possibility that if the car was ever in an accident, the lines of the car aren't allowing for a perfect seal in the housing. There's a method that can be used to get rid of the moisture so you can reseal and be good to go. We can also get you a replacement set shipped out if you'd like. Give us a call and let us know which route you'd like to take and we'd be happy to go through the steps to eliminate the moisture or set up your RMA.

    Looks Good

The Taillights look good. They werre easy to put in. But the bolt that goes through to the trunck and the matting is not long enough to put the piece that holds the matting up.

    Look great, but water issues!

Got my first set, and put them in no problem. They look great, and you really can't get a set of lights for a better price. I REALLY wish I had read the reviews here before I purchased. Put the lights in, and a few weeks later, came out to find the left light FULL of water. I took it off the car, and couldn't find anything other than a small gap between the outer lens and the housing, and it took me 45 minutes to drain the water. The next day...... mold. Why aren't these things sealed?? Read the reviews..... most of the customers who are buying these are saying the same thing. "Water issues". They look great! The price is right! They're easy to install! I know they're not expensive, but is it that much to ask that the manufacturer take time to put some kind of sealant on the housing to make sure we aren't getting water in the housing? That all being said, A-M was great at getting me out a replacement set. But here I sit waiting for a sealant to dry around every single seam that I can find to make sure I don't have a repeat. I like these lights, and I love the price, I just don't think I should have to put sealer on them to make sure I don't get water in them the first time the car sits through a 15 minute sprinkle.

Nice, but I had to return one under warrantee

The taillights look great! I had to return one of the lights as there was a break in the seal that allowed moisture ingress, American Muscle was very helpful and professional in the exchange. They look great!!
