      How do I know if my 2007 Shelby GT 500 convertible takes a H pipe or a X pipe designed System?

      • Your GT500 can use an X pipe or H pipe. From the factory your GT500 will have an X pipe, which tends to give a more raspy/racey exhaust tone. The Stainless Works 1-7/8 in. Long Tube Headers and High Flow Catted H-Pipe Kit will utilize an H pipe, which tends to give more of a deep/throaty tone.

      I am curious as to the install. I have been told that in order to install headers on a GT500 the engine has to come out or the K member dropped out. The feedback on this kit show install 1 hour or less. How can this be true if you have to do either? What is actual install practice and time?

      Will this fit the stock axle back system 2 1/2 inch?

      • Yes, this mid-pipe/headers kit will fit with the stock exhaust.

      I know tuning the car will allow the headers to be used to their potential but is a tune necessary right away? Or can I bolt these on and drive the car without going into limp mode?

      • Between the long tube headers and high flow cats in this kit, you can risk the vehicle going into limp mode without a tune.

      Hi, Would I be able to hook up my Borla Stinger S-type catback system to this H-pipe? It looks like its reduced from 3" in the photo but want to be sure! Thanks

      • You will be able to install the Borla Stinger S-Type Cat-Back with the Stainless Works 1-7/8 in. Long Tube Headers & High Flow Catted H-Pipe Kit. However, you will have to remove the existing x pipe
