    Limit IRS Differential Movement. Do you feel that your S550 Mustang's traction and handling performance is just not up to par? Well you're absolutely right, the Independent Rear Suspension of the 2015-2019 Mustang's is well known for moving under acceleration, hard braking and even spirited driving. This IRS movement can cause a host of handling and traction issues, including wheel hop. However, by upgrading to a Steeda Street to Race IRS Differential Bushing System you can significantly limit the movement of your Mustang's IRS to improve the handling performance of your S550 Mustang.

    Street, Performance, Race. Steeda engineered their IRS Differential Bushing Insert System with all drivers in mind, including Street, Performance and Race. This Steeda IRS Bushing Kit includes three different options. The red 80 durometer bushings are for the Street. The black 90 durometer bushings are for Performance driving. While the billet 6061 aluminum bushings are intended for Drag Race use. As an added bonus the urethane bushings will not increase the NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) of your ride.

    Straight Forward Installation. The Steeda IRS Differential Bushing Insert System is designed to install with just basic hand tools in under an hour. No extra modifications or special tools are needed for a straight forward installation. Seeing that no permanent modifications are required you can switch between the three different durometer bushings as your driving needs change.

    Application. The Steeda Differential Bushing Insert System is specifically designed for use on 2015 to 2019 GT Mustangs that are equipped with the factory Independent Rear Suspension (IRS). Not for use on V6 or EcoBoost models.

      Putting the power to the ground

      Fairly easy install, almost torqued the front short bolts to 130 lbs in, which would been a disaster. Thank goodness I read the instructions again.One of my ingredients to eliminate axle hop. Nice upgrade little more NVH but very much acceptable.

      Fixing wheel hop

      First, I have a 2016 Premium PP. I went with the RED IRS Bushings. While it didn't completely take away wheel hop, I feel like it made a big improvement. I felt the most improvement when making a turn and hitting the gas a little while running over uneasy pavement where the car felt a lot firmer and more planted. There is still a lot of room for improvement, but again I still have the black and the aluminum bushings if I was that concerned. If your a weekend warrior like me and don't have all that many tools, you should check to see if you have an 18MM socket and wrench. Do not assume your socket kit comes with one. This took me a couple hours in my garage to do, but I think it was well worth it. The Steeda instructions are a tiny bit vague, but you can always fall back to youtube.

      Not happy

      The kit came with bolts I used the bolt followed the steps drove the car for six weeks no problems got on the car today had the two rear bolts break differential dropped and cut the boots on both axles may have done driveshaft damage not sure yet so I'm not very happy with this product and the cheap bolts now I'm looking at two axles and a lot of work sucks when you buy a upgrade and it don't hold up
