    will this fit a 2014 v6 ? its a manual and im pretty sure its equiped with a MT82 as well (correct me if im wrong) i wanna order this with the shifter braket because my shifter feels a little sloppy. any help will be appreciated!

    • The 2014 Mustang V6 does use the MT-82 transmission, but there are some slight differences between the GT and the V6 when it comes to the transmission. Because of those differences the Steeda MT-82 Transmission Mount Bushing Insert will not work with the V6 model.

    Is the factory bushing removed when the Steeda bushing is installed? The installation instructions do not mention removing the stock bushing.

    • The Steeda MT-82 Transmission Mount Bushing Insert will install inside your existing transmission mount, and will not have you remove the stock bushing.

      Easy upgrade

      Not expensive and a noticeable difference. Never miss 3rd gear now and shifts so much smoother. It’s great for daily driving and easy to install but use grease other wise it will be hard to get in.

      Mt 82 bushing insert

      Well it took no time at all to install, i did notice a little bit more noise, cant honestly say i feel any difference in vibration in vehicle like others have stated, i didnt drill any holes like others suggest, i feel if your taking it from stock and trying to upgrade into race car handling or power expect it to be different,once you upgrade any rubber bushing to a stiffer product expect more noice thru vehicle and a stiffer ride.so in that case u like how it rides stock dont waste your time or money putting in any polyurethane bushings. ive also read a lot about lock out at hi rpm shifts 2018 gt 5.0 with roush charger no shift issues before or after s/c added i do not lift my foot stuck on floor til 7000 rpms 1- 4 gears.. not even a grind! The steeda trans mount did exactly what was stated, im happy with my purchase, thanks American muscle for the quick delivery and great prices..

      Seems to help with vibration feel in shift knob.

      I used this while installing my Barton Shifter and it seems to have helped with some of the vibration felt on transmission mounted shifter installs. I’m always a fan of anything that refined the car so definitely add this if you are going trans mount on your next SS install.

      Steeda transmission mount

      Only took about 30 min to install with basic tools. Absolutely love it . Nvh isn't bad at all you can really feel it as your accelerate right around 2500 rpm . Love the way it feels and the way it makes it sound . Definitely should purchase. Cleans up the transmission nicely

      Does exactly what is says!

      Install is a breeze and for $30 u can’t really go wrong. Installed it on my 18 gt and had one on my 12 gt as well. Makes a good bit of difference and I didn’t notice any nvh.

      Final puzzle piece

      After installing the Barton Hybrid 3 shifter (mounting to transmission only)which tightened up the sloppy shifting. This insert stopped the rear of the transmission from jumping around. Well worth the time and money. Had to insert from from as new shifter mount was in the way from the rear. Lubed it up and used a couple pieces of 1x3 and C clamp, went right in.

      Worth the money.

      I drilled a 3/4 in hole in the middle of the bushing like some suggested. Install was super easy and I have no NVH. Although, I do have and x pipe and roush axle backs. I installed this with the rear steeda shifter mount and the tri ax short throw. Makes it slightly notchy but I like that feeling. If you are complaining about increase noise through this...you probably should not modify your car.

      A worthwhile upgrade...

      Installed in my 2012 V6. Defineately makes shifts more positive. Not a huge, but absolutely noticeable improvement. For how little it costs it's a must do upgrade.

      Fixes the slop in the MT-82

      Install was pretty straight forward. Get the car off the ground, support and lift the trans about 1/4", remove the trans mount support bracket and insert the bushing. Recommend drilling a small 1/4" in the meaty part of the bushing to help reduce the NVH. Eliminates high RPM lockouts and eliminates the slop between gears. It does shake the whole car at low RPM in 1st gear, especially combined with supporting suspension and exhaust mods. Not for the normal daily driver. Although I do daily my car and don't mind the excess NVH. The trade off is worth it in my opinion. Easily swapped in and out for track days if necessary.

      Nice product

      Nice product however I haven’t noticed any difference in the car at all I have the new Barton shifter and that maybe why no additional noises noticed did drill the vertical hole as other reviewers had mentioned

      Well worth the $ and effort

      This insert did a TON to tighten up the MT82 / shifter in the car. I heard / read a lot of people having issues with increased noise / vibration - the only thing I've noticed is across only certain roads (wavy / uneven surface) you can get an odd "harmonic" vibration - but a quick blip of the throttle or anything to change RPM makes it go away. Well worth the actual improvement in the car. Be warned - the insert fits TIGHT into the transmission mount. I used a wooden block and c-clamp to press it in - even covered in the supplied grease.

      2014 Gt

      Great part I put it in my 2014 Gt and I’ve no more problems with it going into gear while racing. It didn’t do to much extra vibration and all that like every one else is saying. It you have a lift you could put it in around 15 mins if you have it on ramps it’s going take around 35-45 mins to hammer it in. Well worth it

      Better bushing

      Just like the front shifter bushing which was way too soft. So was the tranny bushing. This fixed 90 of the problem. I also used the Steeda front shifter bushing. Ford should not have let this stuff pass RandD. Using a drive on lift i did both in 30 minutes.

      Huge improvement with stock shifter

      Yes it is abit noiser than without, yes there is vibration past 3500 rpm, but man oh man did this make a huge improvement. Im no longer missing 2nd and 3rd at high rpm shifts. Shifting feels firmer through all gears too. Would not hesitate to buy another one if something happened to mine.
