Performs exactly as advertised. Install sucks.

This thing definitely shortens the throw compared to the factory shifter. Should've been like this from the factory! I did it on jack stands in my garage. If you have access to a lift, that would help tremendously. Disclosure: I've done quite a bit of wrenching on cars over the years, but don't consider myself a mechanic. Your experience will determine just how long this install will take you. The good: a solid and well constructed piece. The throw is reduced approximately as advertised, but hard to tell exactly. Just feels more solid and direct. I love it! The bad: installation is a real bear. Some install guides recommend dropping the driveshaft and exhaust, others do not. I decided to leave all that intact and work around them. In retrospect, if I had to do it all over, I'd disconnect them. Probably would've saved me at least an hour or two of swearing! If you go the route I did, you'll need an assortment of different length socket extensions and swivel head sockets as there are lots of weird angles to get to all the bolts. If you don't have these, you need to buy some, or just pay a shop to install it. All in all this is a worthy upgrade, well worth the cost of the part. The install sucks. If you're not too strapped for cash, just pay a shop to do it and save yourself a potentially miserable afternoon under your Stang.

            Great

Very nice product, working very well and it reduces the throw around 30-35. You may have to use the little plastic gum in ordet to fit your shift knob correctly. the installation is not as easy as everything need to be smooth and well grease. Do not hesitate to put a lot of grease where it needs it. And move the Shifter lever around too in order to let the grease penetrate everywhere. For the rest it is a great product for the price !

            Love it

A very nice improvement over the stock shifter, throw is much shorter and a lot more notchy. Install is a pain on jack stands but i was able to do it in a few hours. Just make sure you have some extensions and a swivel for underneath the car. And also dont install it backwards like i did and have to do everything over again.

            Worth every dime

Not a bad install. A lot more fun driving with a shorter shifter and looks great. It’s worth the money.

            Alot better

As everyone knows the factory shifter has alot of movement to make fast shifts. This is a really tight smooth shift lever, not to mention it looks better

            Yep

Does exactly what its supposed to do. I did it in my driveway with my car on ramps. Was kind of a pain to get to the bolts, but I got it done. Took me about 2 hours.

            Awesome

Great shifter, don't even have to think about putting it in gear, its an extension of your body. Recommend getting the Steeda Shifter Base Bushing as well. Don't get the short throw that comes with the base for $300 more, this will do the exact same thing for a lot less.

            A must!

First off, this is not a hard install. Some of the install videos show removing exhaust and the driveshaft. If you are doing that just buy a whole shifter not this. You can easily do this on jack stands with wobble extensions and a flex head ratchet, without removing the exhaust and shaft. Throw on the steeda base mount and the trans bushing. I would also suggest getting the red stitch boot --> part number GR3Z-7277-BA and the white steeda ball. Awesome look!

            Steeda

Very nice product of course high quality with perfect fit. Really changes shifting and decreases rake of 2nd gear. Own my own shop really recommend a 2 post lift for install,I couldn't imagine doing it from jack stands. ASE MASTER TECH 18 yrs experience.

            Amazing Shifter

After installing this shifter, which was a lot easier than expected, you can instantly feel the difference. I also paired it up with a Raceseng shiftknob and just wow. Throws into third gear a lot easier than before.

            Shifts like butter

Great Shifter. Paired it with the Steeda shifter base bushing bracket and transmission insert bushing. Shifts like butter.

            Good Times

I had this installed at ford and it is way better than stock. The throws are shorter for sure along with the height. I would have gone for the entire steeds tri ax for 400 but install was double the price. All in all much better and more fun times to come

            Awesome upgrade to my v6

The Steeda short throw shifter definitely met my expectations! I could feel the short throw immediately. The install was a little difficult considering i didnt have much experience prior on cars but over all i would highly recommend this short throw shifter!!
