      How to pick up girls...

      These are the best things I've bought for my Mustang so far. Really makes it easy to pick her up. Rails are built well, looks good, all hardware including replacement bolts are there.

      Good construction but ok fit

      Drivers side went on with no problem in minutes. Passenger side required making 2 of the holes a little wider as holes were about 1/8" too short. Could be my '18 Mustang but would be nice to have a wider slot in 2 of the holes (front or back) to account for these imperfections and allow it to slide a little without having to modify it yourself. The back 2 holes have slots for side to side adjustment. The front 2 holes should have small slots as well and then it would be perfect. Otherwise simple install. For the back I used supplied bolts, for the front I used existing bolts.

      The jacking rails appear to be well constructed but the one question I had was "are they long enough". This question was answered when I installed them. The rails are about 3.5' long which in my opinion is too short. The front of the rails just barely reach the front pinch weld jacking point but in the rear they are about a foot short of the rear point. A good visual is to look at the vertical door openings at their lowest point - that's where the rails start and end. When I jack a car I like the jacks to be as close to the wheel I'm lifting as possible. Using the rear rail I'll be almost 2' from the rear tire. The kit provides the hardware but I didn't use the bolts intended for the front. The OEM bolts that were installed in the front were about 1.5" long, the supplied front bolts were about half that long so I reused the fronts and replaced the rear ones with the new, longer bolts. Remember to remove the seam seal near the front door so that the rails sit flatter. However even with it removed they don't exactly sit flat as the rocker panels tilt upward and the rails follow that upward tilt. Steeda should have considered that and made the rail tube a little higher on the inside so that it would compensate for this and sit flat

      Works great

      Took 15 min to install and works and fits great. Very easy to jack the car now. The original bolts had thread locker on them so I added some to the new bolts. You will need a torque wrench to install them properly thought. Luckily I own one :)
