Installation very easy no brainer have not gone out and test drove it yet because I am still working on my car putting the engine back in and doing some other things to it but the insulation was very easy to do had to do a little drilling but that was itHelpful (0)

Good product but
Good product but won’t fit with maximum motor sports panhard bar. Tried to modify it but clearance issues. Pity but has to trash it. $200 wasted , my fault as I should have just returned it.Helpful (2)

Weird packaging but works well
Kind of weird when I opened the box to find all the bolts, washers, and lock nuts in a zip lock bag. Plates where also wrapped in magazine pages. There was a little damage to the paint job also. I was thinking this was a return or something. Either way wanted to test it out. Easy to install, just had to move my rear brake lines over, install, then move them back. Rear end is a lot tighter, wheels hook up quick, no loud peeling out of tires, Just a smooth takeoff like my 2017 GT. Also installed the eibach rear sway bar at the same time.Helpful (4)

Reading previous reviews, I was skeptical as to how big of a seat of your pants difference this could really make. I must admit, it's a very big improvement. I installed this with a BandM diff cover and under throttle, you really can feel how much tighter the whole rear end is. Good product!Helpful (9)

Good traction and rear handling enhancement
Took few hours to installed them at home and once it's done, test drive met and exceeded my expectations. I already have eibach sway and JM lower control arm and this was the final piece to m rear traction mods. Car hooks like a tuna and it also enhances handling around turns. Very pleased customer!Helpful (12)

Swarr Bar satisfaction
Material appearance and quality met expectations were met with a simple 1 hour installalation. Benefits gained are hard to determine as I installed lower and upper control arms and Swarr Bar at same time. The trio of mods has provided improved performance out of the hole as expected but feel each contributed individual or combined benefits that were greatly needed for my 96 CobraHelpful (7)

There was a noticeable, amount of grip I gained when launching. I just lost a "street engagement" with a 650i a week before I put this on. I did a glorified burnout as he zipped away. So I actually got the Swarr Bar, hoping it would help and it did. I can still smoke my tires if I try but it is much better now. The only issue is that it doesn't fit great. It is a bit too long, the driver's side half circle clamp actually impedes into the path of spring travel on the rear driver spring. Not a huge deal as I don't think my springs will ever be fully compressed, but it makes it hard to tighten one of the bolts.Helpful (11)
Can this support be used along with the MM panhard bar? and if so if there any added gain by using both?
These two parts occupy the same space, so you'd have to choose which would best benefit your goals.
Would this or the Maximum Motorsports Panhard Bar for the 99-04 GT be a better purchase for a handling focused car?
Panhard bars are generally to help keep the rear axle aligned when lowering the vehicle. I would recommend this rear support kit.
Would this or the mm torque bar be better for road course work
The Swarr Automotive 8.8 in. Rear Support is designed to stabilize the axle tubes in relation to the differential housing. The Maximum Motorsports Torque arm will replace your upper control arms with a torque arm, and a panhard bar to help center the rear axle and combat wheel hop, axle shift, and increase traction. For Road course, the Torque arm will give much more noticeable gains.
Will it fit on a 94-98 V6?
This rear support is not meant for use on a 7.5" rear so it won't fit any V6 Mustang unfortunately.
Will this work with the BMR torque box plate kit?
The Swarr Automotive 8.8 in. Rear Support will work with the BMR torque box reinforcement plates.
Yes, this part will work with the Eibach suspension kit.
The Swarr Automotive 8.8 in. Rear Support will be incompatible with most anti roll bar kits, as it will obscure the mounting location.
Yes, this Swarr rear support will work on a 1992 mustang GT convertible.
The Swarr Automotive 8.8 in. Rear Support will not fit your 1984.
The Swarr Automotive 8.8 in. Rear Support is extremely well made with TIG welding for added strength. It will improve traction which will give you better launches.
Hey Keith, I have attached the two install guides we have for this item (Manufacturer & Customer Submitted) for you to find the location and the size of the holes that need to be drilled. Manufacturer: http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/80800-manu.pdf Customer Submitted: http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/80800-cust.pdf
It will fit any 8.8 rear end in a Mustang. The axles are an internal upgrade and will have no effect on installing this support.
Hi, This Swarr Automotive 8.8 in. Rear Support can not be used with Maximum Motorsports Torque-Arm they will interfere with each other.
The Swarr Bar is not a replacement for a sway bar. It is an axle brace. You will still need a sway bar even with this brace. It keeps your axle from flexing under extreme stress with high horsepower applications. Hope this answers your question. Have a great day and thanks for using American Muscle!
