Should have been a stock part on the car

I don’t know why this isn’t stock on the S197 mustang auto. This works as advertised and there is nothing but positive results. All automatics have a lag depending on where your are in the rpm band driving on the street this takes care of that for the most part. Next thing will be 4.10s.

      Very good choice

Love it. I was a little concerned at first about the stall speed and everyday drivability, but it proved to be the right choice. I drive 64 miles, mostly freeway, round trip to work. Very smooth. The stock converter was starting to fail. I installed the torque converter along with rebuilding the transmission.

      This thing is awesome!

I was honestly worried about what this would do to the drivability of my car, but if I am cruising I leave over drive on and it isn't bad at all. When you take overdrive off it is another animal. This was definitely worth the money! It completely wakes the car up!

TCI converter mated with TCI Super Streetfighter Transmission

Best major mod I did of my mustang GT. The converter seems to respond very quickly to driver input. If you are getting a TCI transmission, get this 3000 stall speed converter if your stang is your daily driver.

      Speed demon

I put this on my s197 and ill admit I was worried on how this would affect my drivability because I daily drive my car. Let me tell you I am extremely pleased with this. If I wanted I can punch It in 3rd gear and burn my tires off threw an intersection. If you want a cheap mod to get your auto off the line in a hurry get this and 4.10 gears you won't regret it. The only problem with this stall is it drags out your shifting to higher revs. Not much just a little. But If you have a loud exhaust it could show some room to worry

Love the Torque converter.. It was about 6 hours to put it in. Start to finish.. Trans fluid was a bit of a pain to refill.. But love the drive.. Its a whole new car..

      Just DO IT!

This little gadget was purchased on the fly and overnighted by AM because the parent company failed to mention I would need this to go with the tranny I purchased to replace the factory auto transmission in the GT. As always the boys at AM came through and the difference is amazing! Not quite 3,000 to start but enough that I'm smoking my buddies GTO off the start being naturally aspirated, not staying that way for much longer. I would recommend this part to anyone wanting that extra edge off the line.

      Sweet Addition

Great addition to my 08 gt. I can spray a 125 shot out the hole now. What the mustang should have came with from the factory. Not a job you want to tackle in the backyard. I used a lift and tranny jack and still took me 8 hrs to do but WELL WORTH IT !

      Great Torque Converter

Went ahead and purchased this Torque Converter along with a pair of 3.73's. This is by far the best mod I have made to my automatic pony so far. I was worried that it would be more difficult to drive slow but its not bad at all. You hit the power band ALOT faster and you only notice a difference when you stomp on it. Tires spin all the way through first. If you're looking for a strong upgrade to your automatic tranny would highly reccomend. You won't be disappointed, TCI is amazing.

I got this for my 05 GT and cut .45 off my 1/4 time. The car runs great now and you don't notice a thing until u stomp the gas. Now when u stomp it from a dead stop it spins all the way through 1st and some of second, before i got a little chirp in 1 st and a chirp when shifting to 2nd
