torque specs i am building my motor and trans up to handle to boost for a hellion twin turbo system . do you think this will help me spool up for a better launch at the line. thanks jesse

    • Definitely. I'm going this same route and have been doing a lot of research on the subject. A 3000 to 3500 stall with a turbo system is gonna be awesome!

Will this work with 4R75W transmissions in 2004 GT's? I know this works with 4R70W trannys but does it work with 4R75W trannys?

    • The TCI Street Fighter 4R70W Lockup Torque Converter will only work with AODE/4R70W with a 10.625" bolt pattern only.

Will this work with comp stage 2 cams and my factory transmission?

    • This would work perfectly with them! You will want to get a tune too.

if your going for higher power will you need to build up other components within the AODE/4R70W. a transmission shop told me the entire transmission would need to be rebuilt if i replaced the torque converter. what would need to be changed? also what is the most power the stock transmission can handle as is?

    • The TCI Street Fighter 4R70W Lockup Torque Converter can be installed with no additional upgrades to the transmission. The 4R70W is a very strong transmission, and with routine maintenance, and adding a trans cooler, can live up to a lot of abuse, however over around 450hp, internal upgrades may be required.

Will this work with comp cams stage3 and 3.73 gears??..............03gt

    • This torque converter will be able to work with Comp Cams Stage 3 Cams and 3.73 gears without causing issues.

I just purchased the comp cams stage 3.....with the springs retainers n adjustable cam gears...i want to know if this 3000 stall will be to much for the camm application..i use it as a daily driver somtimes...nd some others say i should go with 2400 stall..because i have 3.73gears...can u give me some feedback nd help please...

    • The TCI Street Fighter 4R70W Lockup Torque Converter would work well in your setup. The 3000 stall will be excellent for a performance application while still keeping street manners. A 2400 stall will offer better street manners, but at the cost of performance.

      Improved 60' time!

Great performance gain. Improved my 60' time by 4 tenths. Locks up good on the street. One pin was a little off at installation and had to be ground slightly at the shop. TCI could have had a little better quality control, but it hasn't been an issue. I would recommend this highly; between the convertor and 4.10 gears I took of almost a second in the 1/8th with drag radials!

      TCI torque converter

Great product. Hard to say about the performance gains due to me installing a TCI streetfighter transmission also. Great improvement over stock by far.
