Effective Heat Protection. The Versa Shield Starter Shield; 7-Inch x 24-Inch provides a reliable solution for preventing starter and component failure caused by heat soak under the hood. It works by reflecting extreme radiant heat away from vulnerable parts, helping to extend their life and maintain performance. Installation is straightforward, typically not requiring removal of the starter or component.
Construction and Appearance. This heat shield is constructed from aluminized heat reflective material backed by a high-temperature glass fiber insulation barrier. The combination allows it to reflect radiant heat at temperatures up to 2000°F while resisting direct heat up to 500°F. It features a durable, metallic finish and a hook & loop edge closure for secure fitment.
Installation. Installation is simple and generally requires no drilling or permanent modifications. The shield can be trimmed to size and wrapped around the component, securing easily with the hook & loop closure system.
