How To Install a Modern Billet Upper & Lower Overlay Grille on Your 2005-2009 Mustang V6

Installation Instructions Lower:

1. Proceed to raise vehicle using ramps or floor jack and place jack stands under vehicle recommended jacking points securely and lower.

2. Loosely attach J-Hook hardware to inner middle of grille mounts. Then proceed to attached C-Hooks to out grille mounting points Left/Right sides.

3. Place Modern Billet Grille overlay over existing lower honeycomb grille. Align middle J-Hooks and tighten using a Philips screw driver.

4. Attach C-Hooks to both left and right sides loosely, ensure grille is aligned center and fasten in place using a Philips screw driver.

Installation Instructions Upper:

1. Open hood and remove six plastic retaining push pins from radiator cover.

2. Remove plastic radiator cover from vehicle by lifting up and pulling backwards.

3. Remove front grille from vehicle by releasing retaining tab’s using a long slotted screwdriver.

Pony Delete Option: You may remove chrome running pony from the grille, or paint over with black plastic-dip spray paint that is removable in the future.

4. Remove chrome running pony using a tack puller, slide under retaining pin and wiggle off clip carefully. Note: Pins are made of plastic and will snap if not done slowly.

5. Place new Modern Billet grille overlay on top of grille. Attach U-Tab hardware. Short screw install top, long screws will be placed on the bottom of the grille.

6. Align overlay and tighten securely with 7mm wrench and Philips screw driver.

Reinstall grille back on to vehicle by aligning tabs with bumper cover and press firmly in to place. Reinstall plastic radiator cover and six plastic retaining push pins.
