    5 Top Rated Questions

Hey are these lights dimmable? Can I connect it to the headlights and dim it that way?

    • Hello! Unfortunately these lights do not have the capability of being dimmed. They are just an on/off LED lighting strip.

Can these lights be dimmed, or would I have to buy some sort of dimming material?

    • These lights cannot be dimmed.

Does anyone have a picture or installation guide for the lights? I've just received them today, and am looking forward to installing them, however, I am afraid that I will damage my car wiring not knowing what exactly to do. Thank you for the help.

    • The installation of these lights are fairly simple. You can look on Google for multiple different installation guides. If you have Illuminating Door Sill Plates on your car, the installation is extremely similar. Splicing or quick connecting these lights to your dome lights will make them go on and off with the dome lights. This way they do not stay on 24/7 which could eventually drain your battery.

The following is from someone in the reviews who said he accomplished getting the lights to turn on when you unlock, open the door, turn the lights on, can make the lights dim, AND has a separate power switch to turn them on and off at will....HOW?!?! "Installed as footwell lights. I spliced into one of the wires coming from the headlight switch, couldn't tell you which one at this point. Lights turn on when the door opens, unlock with the fob, headlights on, and turn off appropriately. Also works with the dimmer control. They are super bright, but I mounted them far enough back/under that they aren't distracting, just excellent ambiance. Also added in a switch so I can turn them completely off independent of when they would otherwise be on. They come with long leads, but still be prepared to need extra wiring depending on how you install. Excellent product and I'll be purchasing a white set for the hood and trunk. - Oklastang"

We just received the lights. No good install instructions. Can you let me know which wire is power and ground? I have a red and black coming off the lights.

    • These Axial 15 in. LED Strips are going to use the red wire for power, and the black wire for ground.

Review from Axial 15 in. LED Strips - Blue (79-18 All)

      Wingnut's review

I put a 15 inch strip on the front bar, facing back on the strut tower brace. With the brightness of the LED's, and the nice chrome on the brace, the reflectivity is awesome. Hooking up LED's is a simple job. You just have to figure out where you want them, and where you can get the most effect. I hooked them up with a toggle switch, and that is hooked up to an in line fuse from the battery post. I used just a 5 amp fuse. The whole job took maybe 10 min.

      Better than I expected

I put these under the dash in order to light up the drivers and passengers footwell. They are better than I expected, they put out tremendous amount of light. Now to start saving for my Borla ATAK exhaust system.

      Very Bright Priced Right!

I've purchased two sets of these lights from AM over the past couple of years and both sets have performed flawlessly. They're very easy to install even if you have only a basic knowledge of wiring.

      Great lights, bad instructions

The instructions didn't match up to the wiring in my vehicle and it has never had any wiring modifications. So, this made it more difficult to splice the correct wire. Got it all working though.

      Axial strips

Idea is good, but not worth putting into a new mustang. The light strip itself would be visible and there’s no need to make a pretty car ugly. I’m returning it. Not for me, but a good product.

I tied the light in with my subwoofer in the trunk and they look great a lot brighter than any other red leds I’ve seen all of them tend to be more of an amber but this where exactly what I wanted

      RED LEDs

They are really bright. Brighter than the raxiom footwell lights. I used them in the foot well but they ended up lighting the whole cabin! They dnt come with any splicers just plain wire.
