    Review & Install Video

What’s up everyone, Justin here with AmericanMuscle.com, checking out a set of very sleek Raxiom chrome 2010 style headlights for all S197 Mustangs. Raxiom has come through yet again producing another set of great headlights that in this case, take inspiration from the newly redesigned 2010 and up Mustangs. These particular headlights offer the always cool halo feature that surround a modern style projector style lens, which greatly improves your night time visibility thanks to the more focused beam of light. The styling of these lights is great for someone who really enjoys the clean OEM look, thanks in part to the crystal clear lens and the chrome housing, which as you can see behind me, makes the front end of any S197 Mustang look like new again. This kit from Raxiom comes with 2 H9 style bulbs. When it comes to installing these lights it should take about 2 hours or so, simply because you have to remove your front bumper. Do yourself a favor, jack the front of your car up and remove your two front tires, that way you can gain access to them a whole lot easier. As always if you have any problems you can always reference the detailed instructions and install video located on this page. So if you’ve always enjoyed the clean OEM styling but also enjoyed the bells and whistles of a modern day projector light, then this set from Raxiom would make a great addition to your ride.

Sleek 2010 Styling. Inspired by the redesigned 2010 Ford Mustang these Chrome Headlights feature a LED Halo accent that encircles a projector style light to add sleek modern styling to your the 2005 to 2009 S197 Mustang.

Superior Lighting. The projector lenses light up the road ahead with a bright focused beam of light that not only looks great, but improves your night visibility. The integrated Accent Halo's give your Mustang a sexy exotic flair that separates it from the boring herd of look-a-likes.

DOT Approved. Equipped with H9 bulbs for high/low beams this pair of Mustang Headlights are DOT (Department of Transportation) approved for legal street use under compliance # QR1200187.

Application. These Raxiom 2010 Style Headlights are designed to fit the 2005 to 2009 V6, GT, and Bullitt model Mustangs.

Bulb application. These headlights include an H9 bulb and projector style lens for optimum high/low beam performance.

HID Lights I have a 2008 Roush P51 Mustang that I added a HID conversion kit to. Will this work with the Raxiom 2010 Style Chrome Headlights (05-09 GT, V6).

        • I would say you could probably buy and install the HID the kit for these headlights if your car is not originally equipped with HID headlights

What type of bulbs do I replace the headlights with? Is there 2 different bulbs for the low/high beams or just 1? How do you adjust the headlights? My high beams aren’t working anymore

        • TheRaxiom 2010 Style Chrome Headlights use an H9 bulb (high/low) and the lights can be adjusted horizontally using the adjustment screws on the back of the lights.

How do you replace the halo light? Mine stopped working.

        • Unfortunately the halo ring is not intended to be removes as the light is generally not designed to burn out. However, Raxiom honors a Industry Leading Two Year Warranty which covers issues like the Halo Ring. If you are the original purchaser and fit in this time frame, give an agent at American Muscle a call or email and can work on the warranty together.

How do you change the headlight bulbs in these lights?

        • You will have to remove the circular backing piece from the headlight housing. The bulb will be attached to that.

What is the bulb number odd the parking light in these units? I got a response from Matt of American Muscle in some YouTube comments for this product but he must be wrong. He informed me that the parking light bulbs are not meant to be changed......does Raxiom now use some sort of incandescent bulb that never burns out and thus never needs changed? Please help :). What about bulbs? Do you use the old lamp bulbs or does this come with new bulbs? If I wanted to put the sylvania bulbs in them could I? Someone mentioned having the beams adjusted by a mechanic. is that something special that I can do? 1 answer

Do these headlights still maintain high beam function? They list in the description that they have great low/ high beam light but they say the bulb is a single element bulb. Since these are projectors do they work like factory projectors with a shutter door that allow the light to disperse more for high beam function? 2 answers

            Doesn't last long

I bought this product back in 2011 or so but it only lasted for 5 years and the white melted on one of them which is the driver side. Also if you live in the canyon it was hard to drive in the dark.

It was good while it lasted

I bought these headlights back in 2011 one headlight broke 5 years after I gues it just melted the wires. So they're not that reliable, and if you live in the canyon you can barely drive in the dark with them. Maybe something with wrong with the one I got. But it looks awesome

2006 Mustang GT Convertible - New Headlights

The Raxiom 2010 Style Chrome Headlight look fantastic. The headlight halo complements the Raxiom fog light halos that I had installed previously. The hardest part of the installation is removing the bumper. Since I had done this previously I already knew what to expect. The new headlights really look great compared to the factory ones that had 80,000 miles of wear on the plastic cover. The Raxiom parts were a direct fit with no interference issues.

            Definitely More Stylish than Stock

I figured I wait a month before I review these to see how good they are. I didn't really want to go through the trouble of taking the bumper off to install these, so I sent them to my local shop. They fit perfectly, no water gets in when it rains. They didn't aim them, so I had to do that myself, which was super easy because there's only a vertical screw to adjust. The lights are definitely brighter than stock bulbs and because of the chrome reflection, the light spread is a little bit wider. The halo wasn't as bright as I'd have hoped for, but they look pretty dope at night. All in all, I'm satisfied with buying these and I would recommend if you want to add a new look to the front of your mustang.

Better than Chrome Headlights - CCFL Halo (05-09 GT, V6)

I had the Chrome Headlights - CCFL Halo (05-09 GT, V6) installed before these. They leaked, the headlights couldn't be aimed high enough (due to lowering the car), and the CCFL flickered when the alternator wasn't outputting enough voltage (due to under drive pulleys). These headlights overcome those obstacles. They haven't leaked yet, but I put clear silicone across the top of the seam just in case; that was the fix for the other headlights. The projector headlights are able to be aimed correctly. My only complaint with the projector headlights is that the color temperature is yellow like a incandescent light. I found a 7000k H9 light on Amazon but it hasn't come in to compare yet. The LED Halo is dimmer compared to CCFLs. I have CCFL Fog lights that do not flicker. These LED Halos are dimmer compared to them. However the LED Halos do not flicker, so it is a great overall compromise. No waterspots on the chrome inside the light, no flickering halo, and I can see while driving at night.

            Raxiom chrome headlights

Ok so here's what I think.. These lights look great lets get that out there. Now fit and finish was spot on.. What I do have a problem with, the intensity of the bulbs!! Projector lights are bright.. These things are like incandescent bulbs with cheese cloth over them..now for an additional cost you can buy brighter bulbs.. So why not charge 20 bucks more put the correct bulbs in and have a product that is outstanding? Just sayin here.. So, yes I would buy again but would have to expect extra cost..

            Better than new!

These headlights are the best thing I've done for my '05 GT since getting the Cold Air and a professional dyno-tune. The hard part was getting the bumper off. Follow the instructions on the You-Tube video, but also check out the paper instructions too. There are a few extra plastic pins to contend with while getting the bumper off. Once off, taking the stock headlights off and putting on these was a breeze. I would suggest that if you want to replace your fog-lamps too, do both of these projects at the same time. As for the look: absolutely beautiful. As soon as I took it out on the street, heads turned. Eventually, my GT will be fully car show ready, and these headlights are just the beginning.

            Solid purchase

Can't go wrong with this product. Looks smooth, and adds nice detail to the front end. My shop said this was the easiest aftermarket headlamp set they have ever installed. Lights at bright, but the distance is slightly shorter than stock. However, the high beams are like spot lights.
