    Review & Installation Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out this Mach 1 style chin spoiler fitting all 94-98 V6 and GT Mustangs. The 94-98 body style seems to be a love it or hate it model within the Mustang community, no matter what side of the coin you’re on, we can all agree on one thing, these SN95’s certainly look better with the addition of a front chin spoiler. This chin spoiler is directly inspired from the factory chin spoilers found on all 03 and 04 Mach 1s, and as you can see it really adds some much needed muscle to the front end of our 98 GT here in the shop. Taking a closer look at this spoiler, you’ll immediately be able to tell that it’s not made from some cheap plastic, like other spoiler options. In fact, this spoiler is made from extremely thick and rugged injection molded plastic, but it’s still able to bend and flex just in case you ever get hung up on a parking block or something similar. The chin spoiler does include all necessary hardware needed for the install. When doing any install such as this, I highly recommend getting the car up in the air slightly, just to give yourself a little more room to work. All in all the install itself shouldn’t take you any more than 30 minutes. If you’re one of the many 94-98 owners out there who think every SN95 should have come with a factory chin spoiler, well here’s your chance to grab one for a great price, right here at AmericanMuscle.com

Aggressive Mach 1 Styling. The SpeedForm Mustang Mach 1 Style Chin Spoiler is the perfect styling cue to give your 94-98 GT & V6 Mustang the aggressive front end lip of the 03-04 Mach 1!

Durable Construction. Unlike other SpeedForm Mach 1 style Chin Spoilers on the market that use thin, fragile materials and inferior plastic mounting hardware, our chin spoilers feature thicker, stronger materials and include solid metal fastener hardware!

Easy Installation. Mounting the SpeedForm Mach 1 chin spoiler is simple with the included nut and bolt hardware, and only takes 30-minutes to change your Mustang from a pony into a stallion. See the video below.

Application. This SpeedForm  Mach 1 style chin spoiler is designed to fit the 1994 to 1998 V6 and GT Mustangs, unfortunately it will not fit the 1994 to 1998 SVT Cobras.

Can you paint this chin spoiler? Could you paint this chin spoiler, to say color match it to your car's body? Would the paint stick?

    • Yes! You can prep and paint your chin spoiler! It does require a bit of prep work but it can absolutely be done!

In the installation instructions it was stated that pushpins could be used and are sturdy and dependable. With that, it will be a lot easier to install with the pushpins I was trying to install with the nuts and bolts, I find it difficult to insert the socket and wrench inside the fascia to tighten the screw. What size pushpin to use?

Am wondering . Once the spoiler is installed, can you still attach a front bra to the vehicle? Will the clips still fit underneath???

    MichaelD

    • The SpeedForm Chin Spoiler will hinder the placement of the bra due to the location placement where the spoiler will be located on the bottom of the bumper. The bra may not have enough material to go over the spoil or may bend the spoiler fitting over to attach in conjunction.

Can it be adapted to the '94 Cobra

    • The SpeedForm Mach 1 style chin spoiler is designed specifically for the 94-98 V6 and GT Mustangs. Unfortunately, it won't fit a 1994 SVT Cobra.

What are the chances this chin spoiler will fit the 1996 Saleen S281 front end?

    • We do apologize but this chin spoiler will only work with the factory GT style bumper.

Why exactly wont this fit a cobra?

    bullrex12

    • This will not fit a cobra due to the cobras have a different front bumper then the standard GT and V6 models.

      For my 95

No mustang should go without this! I got one for my 95 GT and it looks Amazingtonaryalationticismistic... Yes its a word I just made up on the spot because the word "Amazing" would of been an understatement. It gives it such a mean look it sometimes makes me want to cry and stay inside. Than I realize its my car and sometimes have to show it whos boss. Installation was VERY easy. Took about 20 minutes. I would suggest grabing a buddy to help line up and hold it up while putting it in, other wise I could see it being frustrating. Duct tape will become your best friend too. Best mod for the money hands down. Dont think twice!

      Nice looking piece

One of the first appearance mods you should do to your Mustang. Very easy installation, it helps if you have some one holding the spoiler, but I used a big K&N cone filter I had laying around to hold up the front while I drilled the holes on each side. I started by the wheel wells and worked my way forward, alternating sides. Ended up using a few nuts, bolts, and washers of my own. I know some people move theirs forward so it sticks out the front more, but it just doesn't look right when it's not lined up with the wheel wells.

      Like my chin!

After much hassle with keeping the paint from chipping and cracking, I was able to get a nice smooth shiny coat on my chin spoiler and finally got it on my car! I looked through so many pics to see what it looks like on a '98 model since the bottom facia doesn't match the spoiler as well as the 99's and up models. Thought it still looked good and went for it, and glad I did! Matching it up with the color of my car really helps, and I reccomend doing so if you don't have a black or dark grey car. Makes the spoiler look more like a part of the car. With Eiboch Springs, makes front end look mean!

      Looks Complete

Well, first off the chin comes in a 2'x2' box.. So after taking it out, allowing it to stretch and bending it back to its correct form.. it looked pretty good to put on. Not hard to do, however, I did have to drive my pony up onto a 2x4 under each wheel in order to get the drill to fit under the bumper so I could make the holes. The chin comes with 17 holes and 14 bolts/ sets…don't drill out the hole in the middle of the corners or the circle hole located dead center(unless using this hole .. along with two on each end to hold it in place while marking all other holes/ or use duct tape.) once its on..it looks great! for those of you that don't have it…SUCKA!..makes the car look complete...if I were to do it again I would prob. make the chin a matte finish instead of the simple plastic finish it come in...looks good, fast/free shipping ..lovin it!

A must have for getting that aggressive front end look on your SN-95!!!

Chin spoiler is awesome on my 95 GT! Came wrapped in a small box which caused a couple of funny bends in the spoiler but after sitting out for a couple of days and a little heat they go away. Install took about an hour or so. Found it much easier to start with the very front hole in the center and then work out from there to each end. Painters tape helped hold it in place while I worked. I did elect to use every pre-drilled hole on the chin spoiler which left me 3 bolts, 3 locking nuts, and 6 washers short. A quick run to Lowes to pick up a few extra and I was good to go. In the end I couldn't be happier and was so glad I made this purchase!!!

      Looks good, finishes the front

The chin spoiler completes the look of the front end. Makes your Mustang look lower and meaner. Don't for a second believe the instructions that indicate you can use tape to hold it on to align, then drill though! Best method I found was to use low cost spring clips or racheting wood clamps to hold & align. Once aligned correctly, mark the holes, drop it off, drill then install. The screws provided are a better solution than the snap plugs, if they send you enough to finish the job! My kit was a couple screws & nuts short. AM delivered the kit quickly, thus proving again, they have the things to make your Mustang even prettier!

      Looks great

I was a little apprehensive when it came to purchasing this. I looked at a lot of pictures and still couldn't decide if it looked right on the SN95 cars. I saw it was on sale so I ended up getting it. It looks great, pictures really do not do it justice. Installation isn't to bad, some of the nuts up in the bumper can be hard to get at but not to bad.

      Love it

I love my chin spoiler, it really makes the 94-98 mustangs. Can't count how many time I've been complimented on it, seems to level out the bumper which is far too high without it. Just wish I had waited to buy it. When I got mine it still had the plastic hardware and is just like OEM. Looks like they learned from their mistakes. A great buy I recommend for any 94-98 oner

      Chin Spoiler

Adds a great look to the front of my car. Installation was moderately easy. I had some trouble using the tape called out in the instruction. I used various clamps to position and hold it in place prior to drilling and fastening, which worked well.
