    Review & Installation Video

Hey I’m Justin with AmericanMuscle.com, and I’m checking out this Mach 1 style chin spoiler fitting all 94-98 V6 and GT Mustangs. The 94-98 body style seems to be a love it or hate it model within the Mustang community, no matter what side of the coin you’re on, we can all agree on one thing, these SN95’s certainly look better with the addition of a front chin spoiler. This chin spoiler is directly inspired from the factory chin spoilers found on all 03 and 04 Mach 1s, and as you can see it really adds some much needed muscle to the front end of our 98 GT here in the shop. Taking a closer look at this spoiler, you’ll immediately be able to tell that it’s not made from some cheap plastic, like other spoiler options. In fact, this spoiler is made from extremely thick and rugged injection molded plastic, but it’s still able to bend and flex just in case you ever get hung up on a parking block or something similar. The chin spoiler does include all necessary hardware needed for the install. When doing any install such as this, I highly recommend getting the car up in the air slightly, just to give yourself a little more room to work. All in all the install itself shouldn’t take you any more than 30 minutes. If you’re one of the many 94-98 owners out there who think every SN95 should have come with a factory chin spoiler, well here’s your chance to grab one for a great price, right here at AmericanMuscle.com

Aggressive Mach 1 Styling. The SpeedForm Mustang Mach 1 Style Chin Spoiler is the perfect styling cue to give your 94-98 GT & V6 Mustang the aggressive front end lip of the 03-04 Mach 1!

Durable Construction. Unlike other SpeedForm Mach 1 style Chin Spoilers on the market that use thin, fragile materials and inferior plastic mounting hardware, our chin spoilers feature thicker, stronger materials and include solid metal fastener hardware!

Easy Installation. Mounting the SpeedForm Mach 1 chin spoiler is simple with the included nut and bolt hardware, and only takes 30-minutes to change your Mustang from a pony into a stallion. See the video below.

Application. This SpeedForm  Mach 1 style chin spoiler is designed to fit the 1994 to 1998 V6 and GT Mustangs, unfortunately it will not fit the 1994 to 1998 SVT Cobras.

Can you paint this chin spoiler? Could you paint this chin spoiler, to say color match it to your car's body? Would the paint stick?

    ShoPony

    • Yes! You can prep and paint your chin spoiler! It does require a bit of prep work but it can absolutely be done!

Where can I find 1/4" pushpins?

I have a 95 GTS but it has a cobra front bumper ....So is there a spoiler to fit this front end ?????

    Tazzy

    • At this time we do not offer a version of the SpeedForm Chin Spoiler, or any other chin spoiler compatible with the GT front bumper covers.

Why does it look like it doesn't supposed to be on this type of vehicle. It looks as it fits perfectly on 99-04 but on the sn95 it looks short on the sides doesn't fit flush like the other years

In the installation instructions it was stated that pushpins could be used and are sturdy and dependable. With that, it will be a lot easier to install with the pushpins I was trying to install with the nuts and bolts, I find it difficult to insert the socket and wrench inside the fascia to tighten the screw. What size pushpin to use?

    WilliamG

    • The SpeedForm Chin Spoiler can be installed using 1/4" pushpins.

Am wondering . Once the spoiler is installed, can you still attach a front bra to the vehicle? Will the clips still fit underneath???

    MichaelD

    • The SpeedForm Chin Spoiler will hinder the placement of the bra due to the location placement where the spoiler will be located on the bottom of the bumper. The bra may not have enough material to go over the spoil or may bend the spoiler fitting over to attach in conjunction.

      A must have!!!

Easy to install, and makes the front end of the vehicle match the rest of the car. Matched with lowering springs which together totally changed the look.

Looks great! Gave it the look I was going for

It looks great on there even though it’s not that big of a deal I wish they had self tapping bolts because it would cut the time to install in half

      Chin Spoiler installation

item came bent in the mail, was able to bend it back into correct shape for the purpose of installation( as entailed in the description of product). Had to self drill holes in the bottom of my bumper prior to installation for the chin spoiler to stay into place. Overall great product for the price range, would recommend for anyone looking for a different look to their 95 to 98 gt.

      Great addition- short hardware

This is a great mod. If you're thinking about this item, go ahead and buy. It looks great and is simple to install. However, there were no instructions, and the package was short 4 bolts. Fortunately, there are instructions on YouTube. And, Ace Hardware is just down the street.

      Chin spoiler

The chin spoiler looks really good. It’s really helpful if you have someone else to give you a hand. I put it in my self and used clamps to hold it into place to drill the holes. Took me maybe a little over an hour to put in but that’s because I measured and took my time with it. Very good overall comes with everything you need. I would buy it again

      Fasteners

It looks GREAT!!! However, it came with 17 predrilled holes in the spoiler and only 14 bolts/washers pairs/self locking nuts. I had to go get push pins (which work better in the last two holes in each corners anyway). The kit should come with 13 bolts and 4 push pins to work best. Duplicolor paint would not stick to the spoiler.

      My Chin Spoiler

When I installed my chin spoiler, I didn't line it flushed to the sides, but the front is right. At first it looked a bit awkward, now I can deal with it. By looking at several other customer photos, they apparently did the same. Now since I have it on, my Stang looks more aggressive, and once I repaint the entire car and the chin spoiler too, it's going to look even nicer. Installing was a bit difficult with the metal screws, so I bought and used push pins, it took no time at all to compete the task.
