    1 Top Rated Question

Maximum Motorsports states they have a fluid-resistant urethane covering on the outside of the hose. Does the J M have the same tech to reduce or eliminate abrasion. Also if I get this kit do I still need J M Stainless Steel Teflon Rear Differential Line? This is in reference to 1997 Cobra SVT

    • The J&M Stainless Steel Teflon Brake Lines will be fluid resistant by their nature. The stainless steel outer layer is designed to be durable and resist abrasion, however abrasion resistance is minimal in brake line design, as a brake line should not be placed in a manner that will allow rubbing.

      Good Product

Nice product. Had to bend the hard lines because it was very close to rubbing the rear shock on both sides. Can be a PITA to install, but worth it.

      Big improvement over factory hose

I installed these rear hoses to compliment the ones I already had on the front calipers. The steel braided hoses provide a much better brake pedal feel and really firm up the braking performance. Once you install these and experience the increased confidence you'll have with your braking, you'll wonder why Mustangs didn't come from the factory with steel braided hoses.

If you're going to do stainless steel lines..

you should make sure and do both fronts and rears. These J&M SS lines were a good upgrade to my existing stock lines. They bolted directly on and fit as if the car rolled off the assembly lines with them on. The stopping power after going SS lines are very noticeable and it insures you're getting the most out of your current brake setup. SS lines are a little on the expensive side, however, when it comes to the importance of stopping power, it's a small price to pay. Oh, and make sure you purchase copper crush washers as this package doesn't come with any.

      Nice Product!

I installed these on a '98 Cobra (along with J&M front lines) during a pad and rotor upgrade. Both fit perfectly! I agree that it would be nice if they came with new hardware, but that's not a huge deal. I would rather have a product that works, fits and looks great and that's just what you get with therse!

      great product

this product fits great and not to mention looks and performs just as well.the only thing that could make this kit better is if it came with new sealing washers.i recomend this kit to anyone who wants to improve braking performance.

      this product fits superbly!

ive used other major brands. they didn't fit or have the Tee fitting built in for the rear. J&M hit the nail on the head in quality and fitting! no need to wrestle or re-flare lines. it was a breeze. Great qualities: *braided stainless steel *superb finish and protection from elements. *minute bracket adjustability.
