Description
Intelligent Fuel Pump Control. The Aeromotive VaporWorx Intelligent Relay Control is a safety and convenience device designed to intelligently manage electric fuel pumps in automotive systems. It operates by using the engine's tachometer signal as a trigger instead of simply the ignition switch, preventing uncontrolled fuel pumping when the engine is off, enhancing safety and performance, especially in carbureted or non-ECM controlled fuel pump setups. It benefits installations lacking modern ECM fuel system safeguards, including intercooler pump applications.
Construction and Appearance. This module features a compact and durable design measuring approximately 1-1/2" wide by 1-1/4" tall and deep, making it easy to fit into most engine compartments. It is constructed using UL94 rated components assembled in the USA by VaporWorx and comes equipped with 15 inches of XLPE insulated wiring for each circuit. Connectivity is ensured through a sealed genuine Delphi GT150 connector, with protective wire braid included for added longevity.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with no need for drilling, as it interfaces with the negative trigger side of a standard automotive relay. Its compact size facilitates mounting in constrained spaces while providing pre-wired connections for simpler integration into new or existing fuel pump relay systems.
Warranty. A one-year warranty from the date of purchase is provided, ensuring reliability and support for the product.
Application. This product fits universal applications and may require some adaptation depending on the specific vehicle or build. It is ideal for carburetor engines, non-ECM controlled electric fuel pumps, older Ford Racing Coyote crate engines lacking fuel system safety features, and air-to-liquid intercooler pump relay configurations.
