Deep, Growling Exhaust Tone. Another welcome result of installing the AFE 3 inch Twisted Steel Street Series Catted Mid-Pipe is the exhaust tone it produces. With this catted mid-pipe, you get an exhaust tone that starts out as a low, bass-rich rumble, that explodes into a deep, growl that’s loud without being annoying – unless you’re the driver of the other cars.
Maximum Flow Catalytic Converters. The AFE 3 inch Twisted Steel Street Series Catted Mid-Pipe features 400-cell catalytic converters that are designed for unrestricted exhaust flow. While these mid-pipes do have cats, these are not CARB-certified, making their installation and use not legal in California and other states that have adopted CARB certification. Please check local laws for applications that permit the use of these mid-pipes.
Durable Stainless Steel Build Quality. The AFE 3 inch Twisted Steel Street Series Catted Mid-Pipe is constructed from heavy-duty 3-inch wide stainless steel for strength and corrosion-resistance. Each piping is completely mandrel-bent, eliminating points where turbulence can occur, as well as adding rigidity. Finally, these mid-pipes are left with a raw, unfinished steel look.
