Description
Premium Carbon Fiber Hood. The Anderson Composites Type-GT Hood; Carbon Fiber is designed to replace the factory hood with a lightweight, high-strength alternative. It reduces vehicle weight while enhancing aggressive styling inspired by racing aesthetics on the Corvette C8.
Construction and Appearance. Crafted using a vacuum infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood delivers exceptional stiffness and strength through an optimized carbon/resin ratio. The surface is finished with a marine grade gel coat containing UV inhibitors, offering a polished high gloss finish that resists environmental degradation.
Installation. Installation requires moderate skill with possible minor adjustments needed for optimal fitment. The hood mounts using original equipment hardware, which is not included, and typically no drilling is necessary. Hood pins and a heat shield are required for safety, and gas struts are not recommended due to the pressure on the composite hood.
Application. Specifically designed to fit the 2020-2026 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray and Z06 models in both coupe and convertible body styles.
