HIGH-PERFORMANCE UPGRADE. The Anderson Composites Type-TD Hood; Carbon Fiber is engineered to replace the factory hood with a lighter and stronger alternative, enhancing performance and style. It is ideal for enthusiasts seeking weight reduction and a premium vehicle appearance without sacrificing strength.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE. Manufactured using a vacuum infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood is finished with a marine grade gel coat containing UV inhibitors to protect the surface and provide a polished high-luster gloss finish. The uniform weave pattern underscores quality craftsmanship and durability.
INSTALLATION. Installation may require minor adjustments for optimal fitment and generally does not require drilling. The hood mounts using OE hardware, hinges, and latch; however, the hardware is not included.
APPLICATION. This hood fits the 1997 to 2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 Stingray models. It requires use of hood pins for safety and a heat shield. Reinstalling gas struts is not recommended due to the risk of damage caused by pressure on the composite hood material.
