    Limited Slip Differential. If your stock rear end is not putting the power to the pavement you need to upgrade to an Auburn Pro Series 8.8in 31 Spline Limited Slip Differential from AmericanMuscle. A Limited Slip Differential (LSD) sometimes referred to as a "Posi" will allow both rear wheels to plant the power to the ground giving you better traction and more impressive burnouts.

    Heavy Duty Construction. The Auburn Pro Series Limit Slip Differential has a heavy duty design defined by its higher spring load and ductile iron carrier housing. The higher spring load and unique cone-clutch design will provide more torque and faster engagement for controlled power transfer and quicker reaction to changing load conditions. Making it the perfect Limit Slip Differential for a street or an all-out race Mustang.

    Recommended Upgrade. Seeing that no gears are included with this Differential, you will need to reuse your factory 8.8” gear set. A better idea is to upgrade to a new set of steeper 8.8" gears to improve your Mustang’s performance.

    Professional Installation Recommended. The installation of a Limited Slip Differential can be a very intricate process, so mechanical experience is highly recommended. AmericanMuscle recommends professional installation for the best results.

    1 Year Limited Warranty. Auburn Gear warrants the original purchaser that its products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year after the purchase date, or 12,000 miles. Non-rebuildable components of its limited-slip differentials (the differential case and side gear-cone clutch assembly) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 4 years from the purchase date.

    Application. This Auburn Pro Series Limit Slip Differential will fit both solid axle and independent rear suspensions (IRS) equipped V8 Mustangs from 1986-2014, as well as 2011-2014 V6 Mustangs. Will not fit the 2013-2014 GT500 models. Requires 31 spline axles.

    Application Note. 1986-2004 V8 Mustangs came factory equipped with 28 spline axles, except for 2003-2004 SVT Cobras which were 31 spline. All 2005 and newer V8 Mustangs come equipped with 31 spline axles.

    Technical Note. For normal driving conditions we recommend you use 75W 90 rear gear oil. This will give you the same oil weight as factory. For colder temps or race applications try 75w 140. Requires 4 ounces of CM-19546-A1 friction modifier with initial fill.

      Garbage

      Do not buy this high-dollar garbage Auburn uses Universal cross pins with a hole drilled through the center mine broke destroying the unit and my girdle on a positive note it didn't hurt anything else in the rear however Auburn would not want the unit claiming excessive torque this unit was 4 months old when it broke

      high quality product

      The stock LSD in my turbo 2011 GT is nice, but i found its limit quickly. I run about 800hp on the street, and pump out a little over 1,000 on my track tune. This LSD now provides me with great reliable traction.
