The Axial Smoked Sequential Turn Signals that we have here will be an affordable option for all 2015 through '17 owners out there, who are looking to add that combination of a dark smoked light, but also one that's going to incorporate the very cool sequential turn signal functionality. Now, the Axial options here will be a completely plug and play direct swap installation. And you can have these on the site for right around 90 bucks for the pair. Now, because again, there is no crazy wiring or anything like that, plug and play job, expect a relatively simple one out of three wrenches on the old difficulty meter and I would say about an hour or so to complete from start to finish. But as always, guys hang with me for a bit and we'll walk you through that job later in the video. So, this product is going to appeal to S550 owners out there for two big reasons. First and foremost, that dark smoked appearance, which I don't have to tell you guys has been a very popular look in the scene for as long as I can remember and still looks good on today's modern rides. Now that dark smoked appearance, in this case, does come from the smoked polycarbonate lens that will flow nicely, of course, with other smoked lights or tint that you might have already installed on your ride. But then there's that sequential functionality that we mentioned earlier, which let's face it, guys, is probably the main reason you might consider these lights. Why? Well, because if you simply just wanted to achieve that dark smoked or sinister look, you could always just choose a more cost-effective way of going about that whether it just be a tinted light itself, or going for a smoked vinyl kit instead, both of which probably a little bit cheaper than the options we have here. However, those turn signals incorporated into the light, the sequential turn signals, are just really going to kick up the customization level and the Axials will be the most affordable way of adding this type of functionality when compared to other more premium options on the site such as the Morimoto XBs. Now, when those turn signals aren't in action, those bright LEDs will illuminate in amber cutting through the dark smoked lens here thanks to that modern and bright LED operation and electronics. Now, the modern lighting has been housed again behind that polycarbonate lens which we've already covered, but in an ABS plastic housing here that has been sealed tight enough to help prevent any moisture or condensation from building up over time. But now I do wanna talk about the installation a little bit more as promised earlier. And again, as you can see you got a factory style connector here on both ends in addition to your pre-wired relays. So, therefore there's no cutting, there's no permanent modification, there's no wiring involved, everything is completely plug and play, which makes for a relatively easy day in the garage or driveway for you. Now, to show you guys how this is gonna go down, feel free to check out our detailed walkthrough and tool breakdown right now.Tools I used for this installation include a cordless impact gun, quarter-inch ratchet, 21-millimeter socket, 7-millimeter socket, small extension, and a panel removal tool.Getting started here with our sequential turn signal install. Now, the directions are gonna tell you to take off the front bumper, do all this crazy stuff. I'm gonna show you a slightly easier, slightly quicker way in my opinion. But it does involve getting the front of the car off the ground, support it with some jack stands to pop off the two front wheels so we can gain access to the inner fender well, which we're going to do right now using a 21-millimeter socket. Now with our tire out of the way we have much better access to our inner fender liner here, the plastic part, and more specifically, our retainer clips, got a few to take out now with our panel removal tool. If you don't have one of these in the toolbox a flathead screwdriver will do. You don't need to remove all of them. We're just gonna remove the few up front here. That's gonna give us enough play in this plastic piece to kind of bend it up and out of the way to gain access to our turn signal. Finally, we have two more clips here we need to remove before we can bend the plastic piece out of the way. With those final two clips out of the way on the bottom we should be able to pry this plastic piece back now to show our turn signals here in the bumper. Now, as you can see we have great access in view at the fog light and turn signal bucket here from inside the bumper. Now, what we need to do is remove this entire bucket assembly from the front bumper. There are a number of 7-millimeter screws that we'll tackle right now. But first things first let's go ahead and unplug our harness to just get that out of the way.We have most of our 7-millimeter screws removed here from the assembly, at this point we're gonna try to separate the bucket itself from the bumper. Now you can use your hands, you can use a pry tool such as a panel removal tool, or even a flathead screwdriver to carefully pop out these little clips right here to separate the two pieces. Now that we have our factory fog light and turn signal bucket on the table, we have much better access to the three 7-millimeter screws here to remove the factory turn signal and then install our new LED option in reverse order. So, still have our 7-millimeter socket, let's work on removing these now. With that screw removed, we can remove the factory turn single assembly. Now that we have both options side by side on the table, you get a quick first glance difference between the two and it's pretty obvious, right? You got a clear reflector here with your factory option, stock halogen bulb. Really not all that exciting. However, with our Axial option, dark smoked appearance really give you that aggressive look along with a full LED operation. And again the big deal here though with this particular set is that really cool sequential pattern for your turn signals, which we will show you once this thing gets wired up and installed. So, speaking of which, let's get this thing back in the bucket and in the car.Now that we have our bucket free of our factory turn signal, we have our Axial light in hand. What we're going to do is fish our resistor and harness through the bucket itself, making sure we don't cross the lines here or wires. And then we just kind of get it in place, mock it up. Does kind of fall into place. It's really hard to mess this step up. Grab your factory hardware and start it by hand, and tighten everything down with your 7-millimeter socket. And with those screws tight, we can move the bucket back over to our bumper. Okay, we're just going to insert the bucket again back into the bumper opening, making sure to line up our clips. Get everything lined up, go ahead and apply some pressure. Also can't forget about this, this is your little resistor here, or relay. And we have to take the protective backing off the adhesive and just find a nice little cozy spot for some here somewhere back on the bucket out of the way. With our bucket seated now we can reinstall our 7-millimeter screws we removed earlier holding the bucket in place. We're gonna stud this far one all the way down on the end. I'm going to start all these by hand and then go back and tighten up with my wrench. With our bucket secure now we can reattach our fog light and turn signal harness. Now at this point, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea just to test the lights themselves, make sure those turn signals are sequencing as they should before buttoning everything back up. But assuming you've already done that, let's get that fender liner back in place starting with our bottom two clips. Now, reinstall the remainder of our push clip. At this point, we can reinstall our wheel and torque our lug nuts to 150 foot-pounds. And again, don't forget to torque these to 150-foot pounds. Now, that's gonna wrap up the driver side, simply repeat that process over on the passenger side and your installation is complete. We hope you enjoyed this review and install of Axial's Smoked Sequential Turn Signals available for your 2015 through '17 Mustang at home.
