        1 2003 GT - BrentM

        Do Not Recommend

It has been about 2 years since installing these on my car and one of the front springs has broken. Thing is, these springs are sold as a set of 4. Pros: 1)Much improved handling and 2 ) appearance Cons: 1) Springs squeak loudly at temperatures around 40 degrees F or less. 2) Spring broke after 2 year. And I have seen customers reporting the same experience in reviews on other websites. 3) More expensive than alternatives

        BBK Progressive springs

I reluctantly cut the stocks springs that had a great look but rode horribly. After months of bouncing around, I purchased BBK Progressive spings that brought it back to a sensible ride, but not quite the low stance I was expecting. It dropped about 1" from original which is ok but I would rather an extra inch. At least I don't have to ride so cautiously over speed bumps or driveway rubs....

        2 2004 GT - Joshua1225 Installation Time: Afternoon

        Not very happy

I don’t know why but the car didn’t lower at all it’s the exact same height and I’m very confused why this happened. The car still looks like a monster truck

Will these springs be ok used with stock shocks and struts? Wanting to know if I'll have to buy new shocks and struts as well.

      • You can definitely install these lowering springs with you stock shocks and struts. But with that said, you'll find that on your 1996, you'll likely have much better ride quality and performance when adding new shocks and struts as your stockers have just shy of 20 years of wear and tear on them. Hope this helps!

Why won't these work on my 2003 v6 covertable????? 1 answer
I ordered these springs along with the KONI STR.T Rear Shocks and Strut kit SR Performance Caster Camber Plates. I also ordered the 2003 Cobra Style 17x9 wheels. I have 275/40/17 on order with Americas Tire for the rear wheels and 245/45/17's for the front. Will the 275's fit with no issue with the aforementioned set up, or do I need to adjust anything to avoid any rubbing issues? I keep seeing that I should flip the rear quad shocks. Thanks! 1 answer
It says 79-04 V8. This wouldn't fit an 01 V6? And if so, why not? I thought the GT and V6 had identical suspension parts and fitment. 1 answer
