        purchased for an 1982 mustang

The headlights look amazing and work great, but the install was not strait forward by no means. To start off after you go to install the new headlight they don't fit the ordinal housing. It took cutting serval inches out off the housing for it to fit and doing it for times turns out to be a bigger job than what we expected, but after that they fit great and look excellent except one of the 4 headlights I purchased fills up with water for some reason. over I'm satisfied with my purchase and my car looks way better and more modern now!

        Looks good

Headlights look good, had to modify headlight buckets to fit back of headlights. Overall an okay purchase.

        Hard To Fit

They say it is a direct fit however they are not .you have to cut the factory metal headlight buckets in order to fit ,also the plugs are different and have to be wired in . they do look good and worth the trouble .

        Like everyone else:

Like everyone else said, these are too deep to fit without modifications. They aren’t nearly as bright as my halogen headlights. The small blue bulbs occasionally let in moisture and my passenger side one is pretty foggy. Definitely just temporary until I can find an LED that looks decent.

You get what you pay for

There's a small blue light behind the projector ring that I'm not a big fan of. And when it's really humid, one of them fogs up, and I think it might be from the small blue LED comes through

        1980 mustang headlight uograde

It required enlarging the hole in the back of the casing for each headlight! It was not a good fit! When I ordered these headlights, no mention of cutting was brought up!

      5 Top Rated Questions

What are the two wires coming out of the back of the lights for? I see the connectors which I assume will plug into the light connectors on the car.

      • The wires on the Axial Black Projector Headlight do connect to your Mustang. The wires are for Parking lights or accent lighting.

Are they DOT approved for PA? What modifications are required to headlight buckets, and can I return to factory style later if I want? And finally, what color range is the light?

      • The Axial Black Projector Headlight will not carry DOT markings on the lens. It is possible to return to stock, however you would need to remove the splice in adapter, and splice the OEM connector back in. The bulb included is a halogen bulb, and the color temperature will be approximately 3200k.

Can I upgrade to a hid h4 kit with these housings?

      • HID Lighting should not be used with the Axial Projector Headlights because the head created by the bulb can damage the film of the headlight
