5 2005 GT - Will Installation Time: Less than 1 Hour

Such a small thing can make a huge difference!

This really improves the interior feel. The car feels much more up to date with one less gross plastic piece gone. Lifing the console cover up is necessary to install - two phllips head screws. Seen complaints about fitment. Yes it is tight, which is a good thing - it'll stay put. Getting it on is not difficult at all - nothing a little, ehem, silicone based personal lubricant can't solve. ;)

        Excellent Fit and Finish

Slipped right over the e-brake and tucked into the console perfectly.

        E brake boot

This definitely dresses up the interior! I didnt even need to use the Velcro. I tucked the boot ends down into the console, making sure to straddle the mechanism below. It stays in position on its own and doesnt move even after operating the brake many times. I did have to cut one stitch at the handle end of the boot to allow it to slide over the handle. But it still fits snugly.

        1 2006 V6 - stringfellow Installation Time: Afternoon

Would have returned if I hadn't damaged it

I was very excited to get this after ordering it. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment after trying install it. The material is very nice quality but when the was made the top part was made too tight and it is near impossible to get on. I have the aluminum handle cover that I purchased here that I removed for install but when I went to put it back on I realized that the boot didn't go far enough down. While trying to work it down farther I accidentally popped a couple stitches and then when putting the console lid back on for a test to determine whether or not I like it I scraped the leather. So now I am stuck with it. would be great if it fit better.

        Actual Leather Folks

This item will give your Mustang interior hella nice. Although, you may have a hard time putting it on since the cut hole of the leather is pretty small. But don't worry, just give it a little pull and it should go in. Just don't overdo it or else the stitch will rip. REAL LEATHER and worth the purchase.

        5 2008 Bullitt - Bullitt2978 Installation Time: Afternoon

        Love it!

I've been updating a lot of items on my Bullitt. I had an old aftermarket E-Brake boot that'd seen better days. This one is so much nicer and gives a polished and refined feel to the otherwise bland interior.

        3 2006 V6 - BaileyC Installation Time: Afternoon

Ebrake no longer looks like a chunk of plastic

First off, this was a huge pain to install. You have to slide the whole thing over the ebrake, and it will get caught on the rubbery plastic on the actual handle itself. I was never able to get mine fully past the handle, only about 95. My advice is to use soap water on the handle and a bit on the inside of the leather so it slides over easier, and work it on slowly. It also seems like the stitching is a bout to rip at the top. The velcro strips are meant to hold the bottom of the boot to the carpet behind the center console. Overall I'd say this is a worthwhile mod, as the stock ebrake looks like it's missing something. The three stars come from how painful it was to get on.

        not worth the money

Looks good but it is a pain to get on and there is nowhere to mount the cheap velcro straps at the base so the boot is just loose at the bottom

      2 Top Rated Questions

Given that the leather piece has to slide over the handle, would it fit over a larger metal handle cover like the the 'Modern Billet' handle sold on this site? Is the leather really snug, or is it a loser fit? I ask because I had a really hard time getting the metal handle to fit, not sure if I would be able to get it off if I had to, in order to install the leather cover. Thank you for your time and help!

      • Sliding the boot over a larger handle cover may result in a sloppy fit, this is intended to slide over the factory or factory-sized handle.

When I get past about 3k rpm, the two-piece plastic handle starts rattling. Does this go directly over the factory plastic? Or do you take the two pieces off and slide this over in place of it?

      • Yes, the Premium Black Leather E-Brake Boot goes directly over the factory 2 piece plastic handle.
