        2 Top Rated Questions

Given that the leather piece has to slide over the handle, would it fit over a larger metal handle cover like the the 'Modern Billet' handle sold on this site? Is the leather really snug, or is it a loser fit? I ask because I had a really hard time getting the metal handle to fit, not sure if I would be able to get it off if I had to, in order to install the leather cover. Thank you for your time and help!

        • Sliding the boot over a larger handle cover may result in a sloppy fit, this is intended to slide over the factory or factory-sized handle.

When I get past about 3k rpm, the two-piece plastic handle starts rattling. Does this go directly over the factory plastic? Or do you take the two pieces off and slide this over in place of it?

        • Yes, the Premium Black Leather E-Brake Boot goes directly over the factory 2 piece plastic handle.

Good quality product. Cut a couple stitches right off the get go and the rest is easy as pie . Looks awsome !! Quality product .

Would have returned if I hadn't damaged it

I was very excited to get this after ordering it. That excitement quickly turned to disappointment after trying install it. The material is very nice quality but when the was made the top part was made too tight and it is near impossible to get on. I have the aluminum handle cover that I purchased here that I removed for install but when I went to put it back on I realized that the boot didn't go far enough down. While trying to work it down farther I accidentally popped a couple stitches and then when putting the console lid back on for a test to determine whether or not I like it I scraped the leather. So now I am stuck with it. would be great if it fit better.

            Actual Leather Folks

This item will give your Mustang interior hella nice. Although, you may have a hard time putting it on since the cut hole of the leather is pretty small. But don't worry, just give it a little pull and it should go in. Just don't overdo it or else the stitch will rip. REAL LEATHER and worth the purchase.

            Love it!

I've been updating a lot of items on my Bullitt. I had an old aftermarket E-Brake boot that'd seen better days. This one is so much nicer and gives a polished and refined feel to the otherwise bland interior.

Ebrake no longer looks like a chunk of plastic

First off, this was a huge pain to install. You have to slide the whole thing over the ebrake, and it will get caught on the rubbery plastic on the actual handle itself. I was never able to get mine fully past the handle, only about 95. My advice is to use soap water on the handle and a bit on the inside of the leather so it slides over easier, and work it on slowly. It also seems like the stitching is a bout to rip at the top. The velcro strips are meant to hold the bottom of the boot to the carpet behind the center console. Overall I'd say this is a worthwhile mod, as the stock ebrake looks like it's missing something. The three stars come from how painful it was to get on.

            not worth the money

Looks good but it is a pain to get on and there is nowhere to mount the cheap velcro straps at the base so the boot is just loose at the bottom

            Good material, hard installation

You'll need to take the center console out to install this... not too hard, however, the boot would not fit over the front part of the e-brake. I had to cut it a little to get it to fit over the e-brake... Not professionally done, but still looks 1000x better than my broken plastic underneath. Does not come with installation instructions which doesn't seem like too much to ask.

Great, once you get it installed...

I had a few scratches on my Parking brake handle and wanted to clean it up. The boot arrives with no instructions and at first it didn't seem like it would fit at all. You really need to work the leather opening to loosen it up before you attempt to fit it on. Once I was able to clear the brake handle I realized I'd never get it installed correctly without taking off the center console. Just 2 screws are securing it in place and a few clips in the front. You have to pull the hand brake all the way up to get the console off, it takes much wiggling. Once the console was off, it was easy to fit the boot over the brake handle, re-attach the console and fiddle with the placement of the boot stitching to line it up just right. Looks great!

            Good looking upgrade

Bought this to compliment a lot of other interior upgrades for my 07 GT/CS. Was pretty easy to figure out even though there was no directions included. Only gave it four stars due to the fitment issues. First issue was, I could not get it to slide over my e-brake handle. I tried everything from soapy water to a commercial steamer. Only solution was to cut the first two stitches on the bottom of the opening. Second issue was, I cant get it to slide all the way into place so the opening does overhang onto the handle by a 1/4 of an inch. Even with the slight little adjustments it really does dress up the factory plastic that Ford uses.
